[Summary]
- We are hiring HR leaders (Manager and Director level) for a rapidly growing national beauty retail brand headquartered in DFW, operating 100+ stores nationwide
- Own HR operations and multi-state compliance for corporate headquarters and a large, geographically dispersed retail workforce
- Director level: set HR strategy, build and scale the entire HR function, and partner directly with executive leadership through a high-growth phase
- Hands-on ownership of ADP HRIS/payroll, employee relations, benefits, and total rewards
- Ideal for a strategic yet hands-on HR leader who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment
[Duties and Responsibilities]
HR Leadership & Strategy
- Own HR strategy and operations for a multi-state, W-2 hourly and salaried workforce; build and scale the HR function through high growth
- Partner with executive leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, policy, and culture
- Develop, maintain, and roll out HR policies, procedures, handbooks, and supporting documentation
- Lead, coach, and develop HR team members; advise and train store and corporate managers
Compliance, HRIS & Payroll
- Lead multi-state employment law compliance (wage/hour, leave, classification) across 100+ retail locations
- Own ADP Workforce Now HRIS/payroll for daily payroll, benefits, tax allocations, reporting, and data integrity
- Manage total rewards, benefits administration, and open enrollment; assist with audits and regulatory filings
Employee Relations
- Conduct structured investigations and execute disciplinary actions and terminations with consistency and legal defensibility
- Resolve complex employee relations matters across a geographically dispersed workforce
- Drive engagement, retention, and performance management programs
[Skills & Qualifications]
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's/MBA or SPHR/SHRM-SCP strongly preferred (SHRM-CP/PHR a plus for Manager level)
- HR Manager: 5+ years of progressive HR experience including 2+ years in an HR management role; HR Director: 8+ years including 4+ years in HR leadership and demonstrated ownership of an HR function
- Hands-on ADP Workforce Now experience required for payroll, benefits, and data management
- Proven track record managing a W-2 hourly and salaried workforce across multiple states with deep knowledge of state-specific wage, hour, and leave laws
- Strong background conducting structured investigations and executing disciplinary actions
- Multi-site retail or hospitality experience strongly preferred
- Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills; ability to partner with executive leadership
- Ability to manage highly confidential information with professionalism and discretion
