Job Summary
Supports radiology services by assisting technologists and radiologists with patient preparation, equipment setup, imaging workflow, and departmental operations. Helps promote a safe, organized, and comfortable environment for patients throughout their imaging experience.

Essential Functions
-Welcome and prepare patients for radiology procedures, provide information about the imaging process, and address general questions.
-Prepare and organize imaging equipment and supplies to support radiology procedures, including X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound, as applicable.
-Assist with patient positioning and transfers to support safe, comfortable, and efficient imaging procedures.
-Support image processing and organization, including labeling digital images and transferring files to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
-Transport patients to and from the radiology department, following established safety protocols and ensuring patient comfort.
-Monitor and replenish departmental supplies, including patient gowns and other materials needed for daily operations.
-Maintain accurate documentation related to patient procedures in accordance with departmental workflows and recordkeeping requirements.

High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Experience
Hospital or Managed Care Setting experience 0–1 year preferred, or Radiology experience 0–1 year preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

- Familiarity with medical terminology and radiology equipment or procedures preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support positive interactions with patients, families, and members of the radiology team.
- Attention to detail to support accurate documentation, organized workflows, and patient safety.
- Ability to assist with patient transfers and repositioning, lift or move equipment and supplies as needed, and stand for extended periods during procedures.
