About the Role

As ATB’s next Senior Manager, SSU Finance , reporting to the Director, SSU Finance, you are a key team member partnering with several Strategic Support Units (SSU) on all financial matters, including monthly reporting & analysis, forecasting and budgeting.  You will also play a key role in providing strategic insights on monthly, quarterly and annual results. Detail-oriented and collaborative, you excel at turning complex data into clear, actionable stories and bringing an "all-in" attitude to the team.

Accountabilities

- Lead and mentor a team of direct reports, providing continuous coaching, performance guidance, and strategic direction.
- Lead the development of annual SSU budgets and quarterly forecasts for expenditures, identifying areas for efficiency and improvements.
- Oversee delivering the monthly financial reporting packages including measuring and monitoring SSU expense financial results to identify emerging patterns or trends.
- Provide support to SSU business partners on financial matters in an effort to optimize financial performance.
- Partner with SSU Leadership to provide insight and recommendations related to finance and business strategies.
- Gain a deep understanding of the business and operations of the Strategic Support Units to offer valuable, proactive and pragmatic suggestions and solutions.
- Provide insights at a big picture level, without losing the detail.
- Other ad hoc analysis as required.
- Collaborate and build relationships across ATB.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

- Business degree with a designation such as CPA or CFA preferred.
- Strong Communicator - both written and verbal. A proven ability to interact and communicate at an executive level.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and deliver effective solutions.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Proven leadership skills of diverse and multi layer teams.
- Expertise in financial modeling capabilities.
- Expertise in analyzing, interpreting and applying information about key operational drivers.
- Expertise in Google Sheets, Google Slides, Google Docs and Excel.

- This is a temporary 15 month opportunity.
- This position has a hybrid work arrangement. On average, this means 1 day on-site per week. Please note that this is subject to change due to business priorities.
