About this role

Job Summary
The LMS Coordinator will plan and facilitate senior digital upskilling classes and cohorts. Manage and support the Learning Management System (LMS) to provide digital literacy training and other upskilling for participants in the Urban Seniors Jobs Program (USJP) using digital systems. This role ensures that
participants—many of whom are returning to the workforce or learning digital skills for the first time—have access to user-friendly, engaging, and accessible earning experiences that support their personal and career development.

Duties and Responsibilities
LMS Administration & Support:
1. Plan and secure meeting space for in-person digital classes and cohorts
2. Ensure the curriculum meets organizational standards while addressing participants' needs.
3. Manage participant enrollment in all programmatic digital learning and career-readiness courses.
4. Assess participants assigned to distance learning to determine the most appropriate learning paths.
5. Document and submit participant training timesheets biweekly.
6. Track and monitor participant training hours, case notes, and other information in multiple data management systems
7. Communicate any concerns to the appropriate project director.
8. Maintain regular and open communication with participants and Louisville Urban League staff.
9. Communicate schedules and requirements to participants in a timely and efficient manner.
Training & Digital Literacy Support:
1. Facilitate in-person digital skills and work-readiness training for USJP participants
2. Manage distance learning assignments, other participant upskilling, and ensure the activities are in alignment with participant training goals.
3. Monitor progress and completion of assigned courses. If assignments have not been completed, communicate directly with participants via email, text, and phone.
4. Identify/create content that meets the learning needs of mature adult job seekers.
5. Upload and manage curriculum focused on basic computer skills, internet use, email, job searching, online applications, and other essential digital tools, including online and in-person training.
6. Connect participants with training offered through distance learning partnerships and subscription programs.
7. Manage user accounts and help onboard USJP participants to the LMS platform.
8. Troubleshoot user issues and provide ongoing technical assistance.
9. Customize learning paths to meet adult learners' diverse needs and skill levels.
10. Collaborate with LUL staff to plan and schedule onboarding classes and facilitate distance
learning orientations.

Case Management & Data Tracking:
1. Maintain detailed records of participant progress, career plans, and employment outcomes.
2. Track key performance metrics and provide reports on participant job success rates.
3. Collaborate with the program team to refine and enhance services in response to participant
needs and labor market trends.
4. Maintains up-to-date data entry and compliance in the GPMS Management System, Salesforce,
IEPs, and other assigned data management systems.
5. Interacts with departmental and other staff on matters affecting participants' digital learning,
career readiness, distance learning, data, and/or service navigation, and makes
recommendations to improve processes to ensure standards for data entry, collection, and
retrieval.
6. Tracks customer survey data and compiles reports for departmental review.
7. Assists in developing Individual Employment Plans for participants.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
To be successful, the prospective LMS Coordinator should at a minimum possess skills, knowledge, or
abilities in the following:

- Commitment to the Louisville Urban League mission.

- Strong analytic capacities; strong data entry and keying ability (a typing test may be required).

- . Attentiveness to detail and accuracy.

- Experience with content facilitation, leading classroom instruction, and classroom management

- Previous database experience in learning management systems and/or client management

- systems. Office systems experience with Salesforce, Google Suites, and/or Microsoft Office is preferred.

- Must be able to maintain the confidentiality of records.

- Flexible, able to handle multiple tasks, and respond to changing situations.

- Strong work ethic, ethical conduct, and good attendance.

- Self-starter- able to work well under pressure with minimum supervision.

- Strong organizational and time-management skills are necessary.

- Must be highly motivated and goal-oriented.

- Must be available evenings and weekends for programs and agency-related activities

- Willing to undergo a background check, in accordance with local law/regulations;

- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willing to use their own automobile for travel.

- COVID-19 vaccination, preferred.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience:
Education & Experience:

- Associate's degree or related professional experience in workforce development, caree counseling, social work, education, human resources, or a related field preferred.

- At least two years of experience in career coaching, workforce development, case management, or a similar role.

- Experience working with adult learners, older workers, or underserved populations is preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

- Strong knowledge of career counseling techniques, labor market trends, and workforce development best practices.

- Proficiency in digital tools, job search platforms, and virtual career services.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for mentoring and coaching.

- Ability to build relationships with employers, training providers, and community organizations.

- Classroom facilitation, curriculum development, classroom management, and student support.
