About this role
CLASSIFICATION: Administrative
DEPARTMENT: Graduate Enrollment Office
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Vice President for Enrollment & Marketing
SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Student Experience Mentors, Associate Director of Graduate Admissions, Associate Director of Recruiting
POSITION SUMMARY: Moravian University, one of the fastest-growing universities in the nation, is seeking an innovative, collaborative, and data-driven leader to serve as Associate Vice President of Graduate and Adult Enrollment.
The Associate Vice President (AVP) of Graduate and Adult Enrollment is a senior strategic leader responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing the enrollment strategy for graduate, adult, and continuing education programs across the university. This role is central to modernizing how Moravian recruits: managing the data infrastructure, reporting cadence, and analytical tools that allow enrollment teams to identify opportunity, target outreach, and forecast performance with precision. The AVP provides high-level direction, sets performance expectations, establishes enrollment frameworks, and collaborates across academic and administrative units to ensure sustainable, evidence-based growth.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and lead a comprehensive, data-informed multi-year enrollment strategy for the university's graduate, adult, and continuing education portfolio, aligned with institutional revenue, access, and program growth priorities.
- Establish enrollment frameworks, standard operating models, and best practices grounded in funnel analytics and benchmarked performance data.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts by analyzing market research, funnel performance, and competitive insights to refine institutional positioning.
- Partner with deans, program directors, and senior leadership, using labor-market and demand data to align program offerings with workforce needs and institutional goals.
- Use institutional and market data to develop and manage an affordability strategy for Graduate and Adult students.
Data, Analytics & Reporting:
- Own the design and maintenance of institutional-level enrollment dashboards, KPIs, and forecasting models for the university's graduate and adult population.
- Build and maintain real-time visibility into funnel performance — inquiry, application, admit, deposit, enrolled — segmented by program, source, channel, and campaign.
- Partner with Financial Aid to refine and maintain the Graduate and Adult Financial Aid reports.
- Translate CRM and marketing automation data into clear, actionable insight for enrollment staff, academic leadership, and Cabinet-level reporting.
- Partner with Institutional Research and IT to ensure clean, reliable, and well-governed enrollment data across CRM, student information, and marketing automation systems.
- Develop predictive models — lead scoring, yield probability, melt risk — to guide staff prioritization, outreach timing, and resource allocation.
- Produce regular, forward-looking enrollment forecasts for use in institutional financial planning and Cabinet-level reporting.
- Champion a culture of evidence-based decision-making across the enrollment team, ensuring strategic and day-to-day decisions are grounded in data rather than intuition alone.
Operational and Performance Management:
- Accountable for achieving established new-student enrollment goals for graduate and adult enrollment, tracked through real-time dashboards.
- Set data-informed performance expectations and accountability structures for the Admissions team, measured against transparent, shared metrics.
- Ensure compliance with university and accreditation standards related to admissions, enrollment processes, and data reporting.
- Lead operational planning for staffing, resource allocation, and budget management, informed by ROI and cost-per-acquisition analysis by channel and program.
Team Leadership and Culture:
- Supervise the Admissions team, ensuring performance aligns with new student enrollment goals for graduate and adult enrollment.
- Develop training frameworks, competency models, and professional development pathways that build staff fluency in CRM reporting, dashboards, and data-informed outreach.
- Build a culture of measurable performance, service excellence, and a cohesive student experience — anchored in shared data literacy across the team.
Recruitment and Marketing Integration:
- Collaborate on the design and execution of best-in-class, data-driven recruitment campaigns in partnership with the Executive Director of Marketing, using attribution modeling and channel performance data to optimize spend.
- Align program value propositions, funnel strategies, and digital engagement tactics—continuously refined through conversion and yield analytics—to increase qualified inquiries, conversions, and yield rates.
- Work with the Associate Vice President of Undergraduate Enrollment to optimize the CRM and other enrollment systems, ensuring a frictionless, data-transparent customer experience and optimized conversion rates across the admissions funnel.
Academic and Cross-Campus Collaboration:
- Collaborate with academic leadership, faculty, and student success teams, using shared outcome and retention data to align recruitment strategies with program capacity, quality, and long-term student outcomes.
- Partner with the Office of Institutional Research, Financial Aid, and Student Services to ensure that admissions decisions, scholarship strategies, and onboarding practices are informed by integrated student data and support student success and retention.
- Engage in shared governance conversations, bringing enrollment data and market analysis to strengthen the connection between enrollment strategy, curriculum design, and institutional planning.
