Piper Sandler’s Private Capital Advisory group (“PCA”) provides comprehensive, tailored solutions throughout an alternative investment manager’s lifecycle. PCA operates across three core business lines: Private Funds, Secondary Capital Advisory, and Capital Solutions.
We are currently looking for a Private Funds Distribution Associate to join the Private Funds Group (“PFG”) in Dallas.
The associate will support the placement of private-market investment funds with investors in the Midwest, Southand West Coast helping senior team members develop investor relationships and execute fundraising mandates. The associate will support the distribution of multiple fundraising mandates simultaneously, helping ensure effective communication among fund managers, investors, and internal teams. This client-facing role requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills, an interest in the alternative investment industry, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment. The role offers exposure to investor coverage, fundraising strategy, and collaboration across PCA’s core business lines.
Key deal execution tasks include:
· Support senior team members in maintaining and developing relationships with LPs, consultants, and other institutional and high-net-worth investors in the Midwest, South and West Coast Regions
· Assist with the execution of fundraising mandates, including investor targeting, outreach, meeting preparation, follow-up, and process tracking
· Develop working knowledge of GP clients, fund products, investment strategies, and target investor profiles; help communicate each client’s value proposition to prospective investors
· Prepare and maintain investor materials, meeting notes, coverage plans, and CRM records, including timely updates to CRM
· Coordinate investor meetings, roadshows, due diligence sessions, and follow-up processes.
· Monitor investor allocation trends, market activity, competitors, and relevant private-markets developments; share insights with the team
· Work collaboratively with project management and colleagues across PCA to support a coordinated client and investor experience
· Contribute to PFG’s broader growth by identifying opportunities to deepen investor coverage and improve fundraising execution
· Ad hoc projects and other work as assigned
Qualifications include:
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in private-fund fundraising, placement agency, institutional sales or investor coverage, private-markets investor relations, alternatives distribution, or investment banking
- Experience supporting capital-raising, investor-coverage, or other client-facing processes preferred
- Strong communication and relationship-management skills, with the ability to engage professionally with investors, clients, and colleagues
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand investment strategies and financial materials
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple fundraising workstreams and deadlines
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required; experience with DealCloud or another CRM platform preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required; a degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field preferred
- FINRA SIE, 7, 63 licenses or the ability to obtain them within the applicable timeframe

The anticipated starting salary for Dallas-based individuals expressing interest in this position ranges from $175,000 - $225,000 per year. Placement within this range is dependent upon level of experience. This position is eligible for annual incentive compensation which will be a part of the total compensation. Total compensation for this position will be competitive with the market.
