Title: Business Analyst / Application Specialist Co-Op Student (8-month contract, January-August 2027)
Overview: The Business Analyst/Application Specialist Co-op supports Commercial Solutions by helping improve business processes, support enterprise applications, and deliver technology solutions. Working with business and technical teams, the student will gain hands-on experience across the full product lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution delivery, user adoption, and operational support.
The role also provides exposure to application support, issue investigation, process improvement, and enterprise technology initiatives that drive business outcomes.

What this Role is about:
Business Analysis & Process Improvement
- Gather and document business requirements.
- Analyze and improve business processes.
- Create process maps, workflows, and functional documentation.
- Support stakeholder interviews and workshops.
- Assist with root cause analysis and solution recommendations.
Product & Technology Delivery
- Participate in discovery, requirements gathering, and solution design activities.
- Support backlog management, prioritization, and project coordination.
- Create user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams throughout delivery.
Testing & Deployment
- Develop and execute UAT test scenarios.
- Track and validate defects.
- Support deployment readiness, communications, training, and change management activities.
Operational Support & Continuous Improvement
- Assist with issue triage and investigations.
- Participate in post-implementation reviews.
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes and applications.
Data & Integration Projects
- Support application and ERP integration initiatives.
- Assist with data analysis, validation, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Help identify data quality and process improvement opportunities.
Documentation & Governance
- Create SOPs, user guides, training materials, and project documentation.
- Support business cases, presentations, executive summaries, and stakeholder reporting.
- Assist with application governance and portfolio assessment activities.

Who we are looking for:
Education
Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in:
- Business Technology Management
- Management Information Systems
- Business Analytics
- Business Administration
Skills & Abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to gather and organize requirements
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Interest in technology, enterprise applications, and process improvement
- Ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Nice to Have
- Experience with Power BI, SQL, or data analysis
- Exposure to ERP, CRM, or other enterprise applications
- Process mapping experience
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Familiarity with AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini
- Previous co-op, internship, project, or technology-related experience
