The Process & Manufacturing division serves clients across multiple industrial markets. Our multidisciplinary team delivers integrated solutions that address complex challenges while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and innovation.
Job Summary:
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the engineering and design of electrical, lighting, and special systems for new and existing facilities. This role leads project execution from concept through permitting and construction, coordinates multidisciplinary teams, interfaces directly with clients, and supports business growth through technical excellence and project delivery.
Reporting Structure:
This position reports to the Department Manager and works closely with project managers, discipline leaders, clients, and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning: Develop engineering scope documentation, schedules, and effort-hour estimates.
- Client Interface: Lead client presentations both internal and external, design reviews, and project progress meetings.
- Coordination: Coordinate design and schedules with architectural, structural, mechanical, process, instrumentation disciplines, and equipment suppliers.
- Project Execution: Lead engineering and design activities from conception through permitting, construction, and project closeout.
- Quality: Perform final electrical package quality reviews and support AHJ responses.
- Project Controls: Maintain and forecast project costs, schedules, and documentation while ensuring project records are accurately maintained for permanent files.
- Design: Develop electrical plans, one-lines, specifications, calculations, and studies.
- Technical Analysis: Perform lighting calculations, equipment selection, loading calculations, short circuit, coordination, and arc-flash studies.
- Business Development: Maintain existing client relationships and support future opportunities.
Required Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 3-8 years of professional experience.
- Minimum 3 years of heavy industrial design experience.
- Completed Fundamentals of Engineering exam and on track to obtain Professional Engineer License within two years.
Technical & Professional Skills
- Proficient in electrical equipment selection, layout, and circuiting.
- Proficient in electrical loading calculations.
- Proficient in Short Circuit, Coordination, and Arc Flash calculations. (experience with Etap, SKM or Easy Power software)
- Proficient with the National Electrical Code.
- Proficient in performing site assessments and audits.
- Proficient with Autodesk Revit
- Experience with Autodesk design and collaboration tools including AutoCAD, ReCap, Navisworks, BIM 360, and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
- Experience with Microsoft Office and project collaboration platforms.
- Experience with lighting simulation software such as ElumTools, Visual, or AGi32.
- Experience designing corporate offices, laboratories, and MEP-related warehouse facilities.
- Knowledge of IBC, ASHRAE, IEEE, and NFPA 70E.
- Ability to conduct site walkthroughs at client/construction sites.

Location:
Assigned to the Cincinnati office with an expected hybrid schedule of two to three days per week in the office, subject to project and business requirements.
Travel:
Occasional travel to project and client sites in support of design, construction, startup, and commissioning activities.
