Festival Animal Clinic is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team and help create exceptional experiences for clients and patients during exams and outpatient visits.
We are seeking an outgoing, personable veterinary assistant who enjoys connecting with clients, coordinating schedules, and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you’ll be an essential part of our team, helping keep hospital operations running smoothly while creating a welcoming, positive experience for clients and ensuring every patient receives compassionate, high-quality care. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with the ability to anticipate the needs of clients, patients, and the veterinary team throughout each visit.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting efficient exam room and outpatient workflow to ensure exceptional patient and client care
- Maintaining accurate, thorough medical records and treatment documentation
- Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
- Building positive relationships with clients through education, communication, and attentive service
Schedule and compensation:
- Compensation: $ 19 - $22 per hour, for each hour worked
- This is a full-time position, with a 7:45 am - 5:30 pm schedule and availability needed Monday-Thursday with a rotating Saturday.

Minimum qualifications and skill set:
- 3+ years of experience in a veterinary assistant required
- Proficiency in the following skills:
Safe animal handling and low-stress restraint skills for dogs and cats of varying sizes and temperaments
- Client communication and education
- Knowledge of basic veterinary terminology and patient care principles
- Ability to assist with exams, treatments, blood draws, and outpatient procedures
- Experience collecting patient histories and obtaining patient weights and vital signs
- Ability to maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation
- Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
