As Legal Counsel Project Logistics, you will serve as a trusted legal advisor supporting Kuehne+Nagel's Global Project Logistics business division, providing practical and commercially focused legal advice. Reporting directly to the Project Logistics Head of Legal (Project Logistics Corporate Counsel), you will act as a key member of the legal function and a strategic partner to the business.

Situated with our Corporate Project Logistics Management in Hamburg, Germany you will play a critical role in managing legal risk, negotiating complex project and logistics agreements, supporting strategic business initiatives, and ensuring compliance across large-scale industrial, energy, renewables, infrastructure, and capital projects.  You will also serve as trusted deputy on selected legal matters and support the Project Logistics Head of Legal (Project Logistics Corporate Counsel) in managing legal priorities across hemispheres and business, and further support in the implementation and execution of the company’s legal strategy and risk management initiatives. This is a highly visible role that combines strategic legal counsel with hands-on partnership across a dynamic global organization.

## How you create impact

- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including project logistics contracts, transportation agreements, subcontractor arrangements, service agreements, and strategic partnership contracts.
- Provide practical, risk-based legal advice to business leaders and project teams on commercial transactions, operational matters, and complex customer engagements across industries such as energy, renewables, infrastructure, mining, and industrial projects.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual, operational, and regulatory risks throughout the lifecycle of large-scale logistics projects.
- Deliver business-oriented legal support and translate complex legal issues into clear, practical guidance and enable informed decision-making across the business.
- Support the Project Logistics Head of Legal in developing and maintaining legal standards, policies, templates, and best practices for the global Project Logistics organization.
- Contribute to legal training and awareness initiatives and promote a strong culture of compliance and risk management across the business.
- Provide strategic support to the Project Logistics Head of Legal on significant projects and lead or support selected claims, disputes, and other high-value or high-risk matters.
- Lead or support the resolution of selected customer disputes, contractual claims, and other commercial challenges while protecting the company's interests.

## What we would like you to bring

- 3 years+ experience in commercial law, transportation law, logistics, infrastructure, energy, or project-related legal matters, gained either in-house or in private practice.
- Knowledge of transportation, freight forwarding and in particular project logistics contracting, international transport and trade regulations, customs matters, sanctions, and general compliance frameworks.
- Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating logistics and/or commercial agreements in an international business environment.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills as well as analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and project-driven environment.
- Experience operating within a global organization and collaborating across multiple jurisdictions and cultures is highly desirable.
- A collaborative, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset, with a passion for building trusted partnerships and enabling business growth.
- Flexibility for regular international travel.
