Senior Cybersecurity Architect (f/m/x)

In this role, you will define and evolve secure architecture principles, provide security guidance across technology and business initiatives, and ensure that security is embedded into the design of applications, platforms, infrastructure, and digital solutions from the outset. You will work closely with technology leaders, architects, engineering teams, risk and compliance functions, and business stakeholders to translate security requirements into practical, scalable solutions. What you will do Define and maintain cybersecurity architecture principles, standards, patterns, and reference architectures Design secure architectures across cloud, on-premises, applications, networks, data, and identity Provide security architecture guidance for major technology projects and transformation initiatives Conduct architecture and security reviews, identify risks, and recommend appropriate security controls and mitigations Partner with Enterprise, Solution, and Technical Architects to embed security by design Develop and promote Zero Trust, identity and access management, network security, data protection, and cloud security capabilities Evaluate new technologies, platforms, and security solutions and assess their security implications Support threat modelling, risk assessments, and security design decisions Ensure alignment with relevant security policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the organization's cybersecurity strategy Communicate complex security concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Act as a trusted security advisor to senior technology and business leaders What we offer: Individual career path Access to countless trainings and certification offerings A knowledge sharing culture An environment where you are actively contributing your ideas The possibility to work in projects in one of the largest IT companies Significant experience in cybersecurity architecture, security engineering, or a related field Strong understanding of enterprise security architecture and security-by-design principles Proven experience designing security solutions across cloud and hybrid environments Strong knowledge of areas such as: Identity & Access Management / IAM Network and application security Cloud security Data protection and encryption Endpoint and infrastructure security Security monitoring and incident response Zero Trust architecture Experience with security frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, or SABSA Ability to translate business and technology requirements into pragmatic security architectures Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk-management skills Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills Ability to influence decisions across teams without relying solely on formal authority Experience working in complex, international, or highly regulated environments is a plus Swiss or EU nationality or valid Swiss work permit. Fluent in German and English (written & spoken). • Data Security Governance Knowledge: Experience with data security governance frameworks and regulatory requirements is beneficial for developing effective data security strategies and solutions. • Cloud Security Expertise: Familiarity with cloud security technologies and platforms can enhance the ability to analyze and resolve security incidents in cloud-based environments. • Cybersecurity Frameworks Understanding: Knowledge of industry-recognized cybersecurity frameworks can inform the development of comprehensive remediation plans and roadmaps.
