Purpose
The Director, Digital Product Owner, Scotia Protect Platform is responsible for leading the business product management and roadmap execution of the ScotiaProtect Platform across International Banking markets. The incumbent will establish an integrated view of platform priorities, translate market and customer needs into scalable digital solutions, and drive successful delivery through collaboration with country, Digital, Technology, Operations, Data, Risk, Compliance, and insurer partner teams.
This role is accountable for platform adoption, delivery governance, launch readiness, value realization, and ongoing platform evolution while ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives, regulatory requirements, and local market needs.

What You'll Do

Lead Product Strategy & Roadmap Execution
- Own and execute the ScotiaProtect Platform roadmap across International Banking markets, translating strategic priorities into platform capabilities, releases, and market deployments.
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog, balancing market needs, business value, and delivery capacity.
- Define success measures and business outcomes to support platform growth and scalability.

Drive Platform Standardization & Market Deployment
- Champion the adoption of reusable platform capabilities and shared components across markets.
- Partner with country insurance and retail banking teams to define deployment strategies, customer journeys, operating models, and launch plans.
- Promote standardization and simplification while accommodating appropriate local market requirements.

Govern Delivery & Execution
- Lead end-to-end platform governance, including planning, milestone management, dependency tracking, and executive reporting.
- Ensure business requirements, customer journeys, operational processes, and delivery artifacts are clearly defined and managed throughout the product lifecycle.
- Identify and mitigate delivery risks that may impact scope, timelines, quality, or business outcomes.
- Foster Agile product management practices across cross-functional teams to enable effective and efficient delivery.

Build Strategic Partnerships
- Collaborate with insurer partners, vendors, country stakeholders, technology teams, and business leaders to support platform delivery and adoption.
- Communicate strategy, priorities, progress, risks, and decisions to senior leadership and partner organizations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships that support successful platform execution and long-term growth.

Ensure Risk Management & Operational Readiness
- Partner with Risk, Compliance, Privacy, Legal, Security, Technology, and Operations teams to ensure appropriate controls and governance are embedded throughout delivery.
- Support launch readiness through testing, training, operational preparedness, support planning, and post-launch monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, operational risk standards, and internal policies.

Deliver Data-Driven Results
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators including digital adoption, customer experience, operational performance, delivery health, and business value realization.
- Leverage customer insights and market feedback to continuously enhance platform capabilities and user experience.
- Partner with Finance and Analytics teams to align roadmap investments with strategic priorities and expected business outcomes.

- Build, coach, and develop a high-performing product management team.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance culture focused on innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Support succession planning, talent development, and product management excellence across the organization.

What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, Operations Management, Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- MBA, graduate degree, Agile certification, Product Management certification, or related designation is considered an asset.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in digital product management, platform leadership, program delivery, banking, insurance, or financial services.
- Proven experience leading large-scale, multi-country initiatives and delivering complex digital platforms or products.
- Strong knowledge of insurance, bancassurance, financial services, digital distribution, and customer experience management.
- Demonstrated expertise in Agile and Lean delivery methodologies.
- Experience managing product roadmaps, backlogs, release planning, launch readiness, and post-launch performance measurement.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making capabilities.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams across business, technology, operations, and external partner organizations.
- English language proficiency is required. Spanish language capability is a strong asset.
