The Role:

The Senior Manager, Pricing Strategy and Optimization, contributes to the overall success of Retail Deposits and Investments in Canada and supports the Director, Pricing, Portfolio Management and Advisor Deposit Services in leading and overseeing the team, ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

- Lead the development of pricing strategy recommendations using market intelligence, competitive activity, client behaviour, portfolio performance and funding objectives to develop pricing recommendations of the Retail Deposits and ADS business.

- Leads the Pricing meeting providing key insights on competitor offers, pricing recommendations and exception trends.

- Lead approved pricing changes across the Retail products and Advisor Deposit Services and cross-functional initiatives with analytics, technology, and product teams.

- Lead advanced portfolio, client and market analytics to identify growth opportunities, optimize pricing strategies and improve business performance across Retail Deposits and Advisor Deposit Services.

- Monitor competitor activity, market developments and macroeconomic trends to identify opportunities, risks and implications for pricing and portfolio strategy.

- Partner with Analytics and Data teams to develop predictive models that improve pricing decisions, balance growth, retention and profitability.

- Lead testing and experimentation frameworks, including pricing pilots, A/B testing and controlled market rollouts, to evaluate pricing opportunities and drive continuous improvement.

- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and machine learning, to enhance pricing analytics, forecasting and decision-making capabilities.

- Support strategic planning, business case development and prioritization of future pricing, product and portfolio initiatives.

- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

- Creates an environment in which their team pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

- Ensure initiatives are supported by appropriate processes, controls, procedures, communications, training and performance reporting and comply with governing regulations, internal policies and the Bank’s risk appetite.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

- Bachelor’s degree / MBA preferred or product management experience

- CFA designation would be beneficial

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in order to achieve objectives and must be combined with a high degree of financial knowledge and modeling in order to meet deadlines

- 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry

- Good understanding/experience in GIC and Savings market, products and services and processes

- Familiarity with financial modelling and technical skills
