SP Industries Inc . is hiring for our team in Vineland, NJ and has an immediate opening for a Production Supervisor - Hotworking!
The Production Supervisor - Hotworking is a fulltime frontline leadership role responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations across the Hotworking production areas including LG Lathe Quartz Lathe Shrinking and Tooling. This position ensures safe efficient and highquality production while meeting customer requirements and OnTime Delivery targets. The Supervisor provides direct oversight of production employees and leads coordinates daily activities resolves operational issues and drives performance in alignment with plant goals. The role will also support workforce development crosstraining process improvement equipment reliability and continuous improvement initiatives across the Hotworking operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise daytoday Hotworking production operations across LG Lathe Quartz Lathe Shrinking and Tooling ensuring safe efficient and compliant manufacturing
- Lead and support production employees and team leads through direction coaching training accountability and performance feedback
- Execute daily production schedules to meet customer demand and OTD targets
- Coordinate staffing workflow materials equipment and priorities across Hotworking operations to maintain continuous production flow and minimize downtime
- Ensure adherence to quality standards work instructions process requirements and product specifications
- Track and report key performance indicators KPIs including productivity yield scrap labor efficiency downtime overtime and OTD performance
- Promote and enforce all safety policies procedures PPE requirements and regulatory requirements
- Support training and crosstraining across LG Lathe Quartz Lathe Shrinking and Tooling to build flexibility technical capability and operational coverage
- Lead shift startup meetings and communicate daily priorities production goals safety expectations staffing needs and performance results
- Maintain proper housekeeping and organization in accordance with 5S standards
- Monitor and manage material flow and inventory requirements across Hotworking operations to ensure production requirements are consistently met
- Partner with Engineering and Maintenance to support equipment reliability process improvements troubleshooting automation opportunities and new equipment implementation
- Collaborate with Quality Engineering Maintenance Planning and other departments to address production quality equipment and process issues
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety quality productivity cost labor efficiency and delivery performance
- Identify opportunities to improve processes through standard work value stream mapping waste reduction and other Leancontinuous improvement methodologies
- Support costreduction initiatives by identifying opportunities to reduce scrap overtime downtime labor inefficiencies material waste and other manufacturing costs
- Monitor production capacity and staffing requirements across Hotworking and communicate potential constraints risks and resource needs to leadership
- Support succession planning and technical development by identifying critical skills developing employees and building bench strength within Hotworking operations
- Develop a strong accountable and collaborative production team focused on safety quality operational excellence and continuous improvement
- Promote crossfunctional collaboration and break down departmental silos to improve overall plant performance and customer service

EXPERIENCE / EDUCTION:
- Prior supervisory or team lead experience in a manufacturing environment required
- Minimum 3–5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in glass, finishing, or production operations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage daily performance
- Good communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees and cross-functional teams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment
- Basic computer skills and experience working with production systems or ERP platforms preferred
- Understanding of safety standards and compliance requirements in a manufacturing environment
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Additional training in leadership, safety, or Lean manufacturing is a plus
Salary : $70,000 - $85,000

- Carry out hazard assessments, inspections, and audits as required by legislative framework and/or corporate requirements
- Ensure that training is provided to all departmental employees are per established training matrix
- Implement appropriate corrective measures for unsafe conditions and unsafe acts
- Ensure that appropriate equipment, materials and protective devices are provided and maintained in safe condition
- Provide information, instruction and supervision to employees
- Take every precaution reasonable in the circumstances for the protection of employees
