Pacific Regional Instructor, Senior
The Opportunity:

Leverage expertise and instruction to training audiences on the Indo-Pacific operational environment to inform plans, exercises, operations, and engagements. Share understanding of East Asia region countries’ strategies, capabilities, and actions. Advise team and clients on cultural and language considerations and approaches to working with the host nation military, government officials, and non-governmental entities to achieve mutual goals. Contribute to distance learning modules and in-person training content. Develop and maintain course content and practical exercises based on current threat environments, military domains, and joint, interagency, intergovernmental, and multinational (JIIM) capabilities. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of course instruction.

You Have:

- 8+ years of experience with East Asia in a military, intelligence community, diplomatic, academic, or commercial field
- Experience in research, analysis, or instruction of key nation states’ or USPACOM nations’ military strategy, operations, and tactics
- Experience communicating with senior military and civilian officials including flag officers and senior executives
- Experience working with foreign nationals and recognizing cultural differences and learning styles
- Knowledge of U.S. and potential adversary nation military capabilities and national command authority
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time in support of course instruction including international travel
- Ability to conduct research in one or more East Asian languages with the use of appropriate search and machine translation tools
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

- Experience in instruction or teaching
- Experience in East Asian military history, international relations, or deterrence in an academic environment
- Experience with military operations, including combat a plus
- Experience conducting or leading USPACOM security assistance operations
- Experience as an East Asia Foreign Area Officer (FAO)
- Experience conducting or leading intelligence support to USPACOM or East Asia topic areas
- Experience conducting or leading USPACOM or East Asia operations and exercises and East Asia planning efforts, and writing original content on East Asian regional security issues
- Ability to speak, read, and write in a critical East Asian language, all other regional languages a plus
- TS/SCI clearance
- Master’s degree preferred; Doctorate degree a plus

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
