What You’ll Do

You'll have the incredible opportunity to join us at Asset and Entitlement Engineering team and play a key role in designing and developing next-generation capabilities. Your role will focus on designing and developing next-generation software to transform Cisco’s Products Lifecycle and Post Sales Customer Experience.

As a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering new capabilities using the latest technologies and processes. This includes actively coding, as well as debugging and reviewing with the team. You'll also have the chance to work closely with our talented engineers and interact with our valued business partners, fostering an inclusive and respectful atmosphere.

Your specific responsibilities will include:

- AI Development: Drive the enablement of AI and Generative AI, specifically focusing on the development and management of applications using Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) and Agentic AI.
- AI-First Engineering: Build large-scale Gen AI applications by prioritizing AI-first principles, simplicity, and an intuitive User Experience (UX).
- Operational Excellence: Uphold the highest standards of software development, ensuring all solutions are built with secure coding practices and a thorough focus on user privacy.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with architects and organizational leadership to deliver scalable, high-impact solutions that move the needle for the entire organization.
- Working closely with the Scrum master, Product owner, and global delivery teams to drive and contribute to project releases and sprint work.
- Build and optimize secure, scalable Gen AI platforms supporting enterprise document management, data security, and compliance requirements.
- Implement end-to-end workflows for document ingestion, processing, classification, and retrieval within AI systems.
- Maintain responsible AI practices, ensuring adherence to data security standards and regulatory compliance.
- Engineer prompt handling and intent recognition for LLMs, exposing capabilities via APIs for enterprise-scale use cases.
- Design, develop, and optimize in-app and role-based AI Agents with secure, scalable semantic layers, multi-agent protocols, and agent training features.
- Lead implementation of agentic frameworks (langraph, langchain, LLMs) to enable robust Ask/Respond capabilities using enterprise data sources.
- Build and maintain advanced Natural Language Interaction (NLI) & Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems tailored for enterprise data.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance secure data connectors for major enterprise databases (Oracle, MongoDB).

Minimum requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering with 5 years of software development experience or master’s degree in computer science/engineering with 3 years of relevant experience
- A good team player, with a positive and self-starter attitude.
- Data Structures: In-depth knowledge and practical application of various data structures.
- Algorithms: Proficiency in the design, analysis, and implementation of algorithms.
- Database Proficiency: Proficient in SQL for relational databases and experienced with NoSQL database concepts.
- Java Programming: Strong programming skills in Java, including Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and framework experience.
- Proficiency in Python programming language or similar.
- Strong understanding of artificial intelligence concepts and experience in implementing AI techniques in practical applications, as well as a proficiency in security.
- Good understanding of Agile and DevSecOps practices and toolsets.
- Hands on experience on AI Native Development and Tools
- In-depth knowledge on Design Patterns
- Hands on experience in developing web-based applications using Java, Spring Boot, ELK, Mongo, Snowflake, Angular/React JS, Python, PL/SQL, Kafka
- Proficiency in Sql, Pl/Sql and Extensive hands-on experience with relational, in-memory and NoSQL databases including Oracle, Snowflake and Mongo.
- Hands-on with Web Services and JSON.
- Positive and self-starter attitude, with a strong communication and time management skillset.
- Works independently but seeks guidance from leaders when needed and determines the best approach to accomplish work. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

Preferred Requirements:

- Oracle Ecosystem Expertise: Advanced skills in Oracle Database, PL/SQL
- ELK Stack: Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana for data processing and visualization.
- MongoDB (NoSQL): Experience with database design, querying, and management in a NoSQL environment.
- Apache Kafka: Understanding and experience with streaming platforms and building data pipelines.
- Advanced prompt engineering skills.
- Over 5 years of experience with full-stack development, design, and technically leading application development.
- Hands-on experience with Gen AI frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, LangSmith, AI operators, with proficiency in Python for AI operations.
- Experience with vector databases, such as Weaviate or similar.
- Experience with design and development of advanced Agentic AI workflows orchestration.
