Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Building Maintenance Manager who specializes in the maintenance and repair of commercial buildings used in the operation of Vail Mountain. This includes fixtures, furniture and equipment, water and wastewater systems, HVAC/Mechanical systems, commercial kitchen equipment along with general building envelope. Th e Manager will be able to provide leadership, technical expertise and direction to all aspects of the daily operation.

- Starting Wage: $59,330.00 -$84,757.00+annual bonus

Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, fire/life safety, security, and building infrastructure.
- Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs, prioritize maintenance activities based on operational requirements.
- Lead, coach, develop, and evaluate maintenance technicians and supervisors, establish performance expectations.
- Manage staffing schedules, resource allocation, and training plans. Support recruitment, onboarding, and employee development initiatives.
- Develop and manage operating budgets, monitor expenditures and approve purchase orders, track inventory, and manage maintenance-related contracts.
- Work with partners in long-range asset planning, development of capital budgets related to building renovations, equipment replacement, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Manage relationships with contractors, vendors, service providers, and regulatory agencies.
- Ensure facilities remain safe, operational, and compliant with all applicable Federal & State regulations along with company safety requirements.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years related maintenance, construction supervisory, or management experience.
- Trade Certification or Diploma in Construction or Engineering very beneficial.
- Familiar with Building construction, building envelopes and various building systems.
- Prior leadership and supervisory experience leading people.
- Experience in overall project execution with the ability to understand and interpret a variety of documentation including contracts, blueprints and project specifications.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills (English)
- Effective and efficient conflict resolution skills.
- Solid administrative and computer skills.
- Experience with work order or asset management software. (MaintainX)
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor with an emphasis on relationships and team leadership.
- Committed to quality, client care, teamwork and safety.
- Valid driver’s license.
The expected pay range is $59,330.00 -$84,757.00+annual bonus. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
