Job Title: Controller Job Description
The Controller / Accounting Manager will report directly to the CFO and is responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations. This role includes managing a team of four accounting support personnel, overseeing AP, AR, billing, and related functions, and ensuring accurate and efficient accounting practices. The position plays a key role in transitioning and modernizing accounting processes, with a focus on digital efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support a team of four accounting clerks covering AP, AR, billing, and related accounting functions.
- Provide hands-on oversight of daily accounting activities and transactions.
- Utilize Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central for accounting operations.
- Review work for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established accounting processes.
- Communicate accounting information and issues clearly to the CFO and other stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to transition existing paper-based processes to more efficient digital workflows.
- Support accounting activities associated with a manufacturing and globally connected business.
- Work with transactions that may involve global logistics and tariffs.
- Support cost accounting activities where applicable.
- Maintain continuity as the organization transitions responsibilities from its long-tenured incumbent.
Essential Skills
- 10+ years of experience in accounting.
- 3+ years of hands-on supervisory experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Experience with general ledger, month-end processes, financial reporting, and financial statements.
- Knowledge of accounts payable, journal entry, forecasting, and payroll.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Manufacturing and/or global logistics experience is a significant plus.
- Cost accounting experience is preferred but not required.
- Comfortable adopting digital transactions and modernizing paper-based processes.
- Ability to operate effectively in a hands-on accounting environment.
Work Environment
During the initial training period, work will be conducted in-office, Monday through Friday, from 9am to 5pm. Once established, the role offers hybrid flexibility with a 3x2 schedule. The team includes four accounting clerks handling AP, AR, and billing functions.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $140000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
