Primary Responsibilities /Accountabilities/ Essential Functions:
- Manages and coordinates various planning documents specific to technology needs for events to include but not limited to: Setup Sheets, Floor Plans, Stage Plots, Input Lists, Coverage Maps, Rigging Plots, Inventory Lists and Lighting Design.
- Directly manages a team of mixed professions that included Engineers, Technicians and student workers with a specific goal of delivering audio visual and technology needs for events.
- Manages and develops training plans and strategies for full-time staff including creating performance expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Helps to oversee high profile events but not limited to: Large Sporting Events, Conferences, Live Theater, Live Concert and Press Conferences.
- Coordinates with Campus Scheduling and Event Crew/Operations teams to ensure proper planning is in place for all event-related needs.
- Maintains a positive attitude and customer service disposition that can work as part of a team and individually when asked.
- Maintains a working partnership with relevant on-campus and 3rd party contractors to support various event needs with supplemental labor, equipment rentals or maintenance needs to keep equipment in working condition as needed.
- Identify and recommend opportunities to improve audio visual enhancements to internal and external customers.
- This person manages a budget and cost sheet that contributes to a larger P/L budget, must be vigilant with budgets and ROI when evaluating event technology solutions.

Equipment Used and Responsibility
- Highly effective communicator verbally and email.
- Ability to articulate rolls and responsibilities of various technology professionals.
- A high degree of organizational skills and time management required.
- Ability to manage complex tasks over extended periods of time.
- Familiarity with industry standard audio, video, lighting, and broadcast equipment.
- Ability to self-initiate and self-motivate and has a high degree of ownership.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Manage department direct reports including full time employees and student workers
Experience/ Education
- Bachelor’s degree from an Accredited College
- Demonstrated experience with maintaining, troubleshooting, and operating audio-visual equipment setup and maintenance.
- Demonstrated experience with Audio Visual Event Technology setup, coordination, and execution.
- Operation of audio visual and lighting equipment used in a live production.
- Correct maintenance and use of equipment.
- Must successfully pass a background check.
