Job Description:
As a Finance ERP Senior Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the effectiveness of our financial close process, maintaining and designing critical system configuration. As the product owner of the Finance ERP system, you will be responsible for designing technical solutions to support new accounting and disclosure standards, maintaining existing capabilities, while continuing to drive improvements within the existing platform. In executing these responsibilities, you will partner closely with IT and cross-functional finance teams to prioritize and implement solutions to support our external and statutory report processes.
This position will be based out of our Global Home Office in Columbus, OH.
What you will be doing?
- Managing the Finance ERP close process, including executing core responsibilities and supporting the organization in the timely completion of all related close activities.
- Partnering with IT to enhance and maintain Finance ERP, including the accuracy of general ledger module to support complete and accurate financial reporting
- Serving as a strategic finance partner to IT and business teams by becoming the product owner of our Finance ERP application,. translating business and growth initiatives requirements into scalable and sustainable solutions within the accounting platform
- Shape the future-state design of PeopleSoft Finance and any future accounting systems, while working in an agile environment to identify, prioritize and deliver finance-specific enhancements that increase efficiency, insight, and scalability
- Collaborating with technical teams to perform ad-hoc analysis, resolve issues, and troubleshoot PeopleSoft finance errors, identifying root causes, design solutions and validate fixes before deployment
- Representing accounting systems team interests in new strategic initiatives by assessing accounting system impacts early, engaging with finance subject matter experts as appropriate, and influencing design decisions.
- Maintaining and strengthening effective internal controls that support the completeness and accuracy of our financial close and financial reporting processes, consistently producing reliable reporting in a growing and evolving business
- Building deep end-to-end knowledge of our accounting system to become a trusted problem solver for emerging business models, and strategic transformation initiatives
What do you need to bring?
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Information systems, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Understanding of intercompany and foreign currency accounting, preferably within a retail environment
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple workstreams
- Ability to develop strong cross -functional relationships with technical partners and collaborate effectively in a non-hierarchical environment
- Strong planning, project management, communication, and analytical skills; experience with agile development is a plus
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude, embrace change, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
