Operations Research Analyst, Senior
The Opportunity:
Combines operational experience with technical expertise using a wide variety of traditional and emerging analytic tools and techniques to underpin and enable leadership decisions in a constantly changing global environment. The ORSA introduces quantitative and qualitative analysis, data analytics, and data science to the military’s decision-making and institutional processes by developing and applying probability models, statistical inference, simulations, optimization, data analysis, and data visualization while enabling the routinization of enterprise data product creation and management. The ORSA encompasses varied disciplines that include personnel management, doctrine and force development, system testing, system acquisition, decision analysis, and resource management. The ORSA efforts will support the Army’s initiative to achieve Data Centricity across the Total Force to enable analysis-based decision making.

You Have:
- Experience with Operations Research and Systems Analysis supporting Army analytical missions at the Center for Army Analysis and analytics efforts at an Army Command, Army Service Component Command, or Direct Reporting Unit
- Experience with using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Access
- Experience using Power BI tools
- Experience coding in either Ruby (R), Python, or Java
- Knowledge of military training and operations
- Ability to develop, present, and communicate analytical products and presentations for senior military officials
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM)
Nice If You Have:
- Experience as Army Operations Research and Systems Analysis Functional Area 49
- Experience leading an enterprise-level assessment program for the Army using Army data
- Experience building and maintaining executive-level dashboards
- Experience as a military or civilian ORSA action officer on the Headquarters, Department of the Army Staff
- Top Secret clearance
- Master’s degree in mathematics, economics, operations research, data science, computer science, or statistics
- Graduate of Command and General Staff College

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,400.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
