Summary/Objective:

The Business Process & Automation Manager drives operational excellence by identifying opportunities to streamline, optimize, and automate business processes through technology, AI, and process improvement methodologies. The role manages end-to-end process transformation initiatives, from analysis and solution design to implementation, training, and support. In partnership with business stakeholders and technology providers, the manager delivers scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions that improve efficiency, data integrity, quality, and customer experience. By increasing organizational capacity and reducing manual work, this role enables teams to focus on strategic and value-added activities.

Essential Functions:

- Identify, prioritize, and lead process improvement, automation, and AI initiatives.

- Document and analyze business processes, workflows, and requirements to identify improvement opportunities.

- Design, implement, and support scalable business solutions and automations.

- Manage projects from discovery through deployment and post-launch support.

- Create and maintain process documentation, SOPs, training materials, and solution documentation.

- Collaborate with business leaders, end users, vendors, and technical resources.

- Ensure solutions are secure, reliable, user-friendly, and financially responsible.

- Measure and communicate business outcomes, adoption, and ROI

Working Conditions:

- Primarily working indoors, office environment.

- May sit for several hours at a time.

- Prolonged exposure to computer screens.

- Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiers.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

- 5+ years of experience in process improvement, business analysis, automation, project management, systems implementation, or related fields.

- 1+ years of experience leading cross-functional initiatives and technology-enabled change.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This role does not have any supervisory responsibility upon hiring.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Primarily working indoors in an office environment. May be required to sit for several hours a day. Prolonged exposure to computer screens. Repetitive use of hands to operate computers.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time, exempt salaried position. Work hours and schedule are determined by the reporting leader.

Travel:

Occasional travel is expected for this position. Examples could include stakeholder meetings or attending training. Candidates must reside within 300 miles of South Bend, Indiana.

Preferred Education and Experience:

- 1+ years of experience with AI, workflow automation, CRM, and customer service technologies.

- Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, PMP, CBAP, or related certifications

Work Authorization/Security Clearance:

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
