Reporting to the Vice President of Philanthropy, the Major Gifts Programs Officer (MGPO) at Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) is responsible for managing most of the special projects and operational aspects emanating from the major gifts group. These include but are not limited to projects related to fundraising, prospect engagement, small disease-based engagement meetings, community grand rounds, and advisory council management. MGPO is detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills; possesses the ability to work well with other departments and donor constituencies of all levels; coordinates multiple projects; and works independently in a fast-paced environment. The MGPO has a high level of self-confidence, creativity, self-motivation, and energy needed to undertake diverse responsibilities.

Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities:

- Coordinate and facilitate 3-4 meetings per year for the disease based advisory councils (and task forces, as applicable). This includes working with Major Gift Officers, Board Chairs, and Physician Chairs to create meeting content that is aligned with BILH strategic priorities.

- Coordinate and facilitate community grand rounds for the education and engagement of our Board members and constituents. Research, develop and implement process improvements and goals to create meaningful involvement and engagement for attendees. This includes working with Major Gift Officers, Board Chairs, and Physician Chairs to create meeting content that is aligned with BILH strategic priorities.

- Manage relationships through written and other communications and by scheduling and facilitating advisory committee meetings and community grand rounds to build successful partnerships.

- Plans and implement a variety of disease-specific programmatic initiatives for the Major Gifts team, including list management for event invitation lists, mailing lists, and small disease area-based engagement meetings. Helps identify strategies, objectives, project plans, and expected outcomes and measures.

- Provide support for systems and policies related to major gifts operations and prospect management.

- Design and implement disease area-based events with the Chair/Chief of beat areas to help support the engagement of current and new prospects.

- Special projects, as needed.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree required.

- 3-5 years’ related work experience required.
- Experiencewithcomputersystemsrequired,includingweb-basedapplicationsandMicrosoftOfficeapplicationswhich may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.

Pay Range:
$60,000.00 USD - $80,000.00 USD

The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
