🚀 Commercial Collections & Accounts Receivable Specialist

Responsibilities
📌 Serve as the primary point of contact for customers following acquisition or onboarding, ensuring accurate account setup and billing while creating a seamless customer experience.
- Proactively contact customers after initial invoicing to confirm receipt, validate contact information, and establish payment expectations.
- Manage a portfolio of commercial accounts receivable tied to M&A activity, resolving legacy account issues and supporting integration efforts.
- Handle inbound and outbound collection calls regarding past-due balances in a professional, solutions-oriented manner.
- Identify and resolve barriers to payment, including incorrect contacts, missing purchase orders, tax documentation issues, and system setup errors.
- Negotiate and document payment arrangements when needed while maintaining positive customer relationships.
- Review aging reports and account activity to prioritize collection efforts and improve portfolio performance.
- Reconcile customer accounts to ensure invoices, payments, credits, and adjustments are properly recorded.
- Assist with unapplied cash research and collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate cash application.
- Conduct skip tracing activities to re-establish communication with unresponsive customers.
- Escalate high-risk accounts with clear documentation, analysis, and recommended next steps.
🤝 Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Billing, Customer Success, Accounting, and Integration teams to support smooth customer transitions and improve operational effectiveness.
- Maintain detailed records of customer communications, resolutions, and payment commitments within platforms such as Salesforce, GetPaid, SAP, and other AR systems.
- Provide feedback and insights to improve onboarding, billing, collections, and customer account management processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the overall contract-to-cash lifecycle.
Qualifications
5+ years of Accounts Receivable and Collections experience, including management of commercial/B2B portfolios. 2+ years of commercial collections and account reconciliation experience. Strong knowledge of invoicing, billing, customer onboarding, and the full contract-to-cash cycle. Experience with collections, cash application, account reconciliation, aging analysis, and dispute resolution. Proficiency with ERP, AR, and CRM platforms such as SAP, Salesforce, GetPaid, or similar systems. Strong credit analysis, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills with the ability to balance customer service and collection objectives. Ability to effectively manage a high-volume portfolio in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Scottsdale, AZ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.50 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
