Sunstates Security is hiring Full-Time Security Officers in the Glasgow, KY area. All days and shifts are available! These positions offer a pay rate of $15.50/hr, with weekly pay.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have good communication skills.
- Good customer service skills and professional appearance.
- Maintain the safety and security of pharmaceutical distribution facilities by enforcing site policies, access control procedures, and operational security standards at all times.
- Monitor and control visitor, employee, contractor, and vendor access, ensuring all guests are properly verified, logged into the Lighthouse system, and escorted when required.
- Conduct routine interior and exterior patrols, inspections, and security rounds to identify suspicious activity, safety hazards, property damage, or security concerns.
- Respond to alarms, emergencies, gate malfunctions, camera outages, spills, and other incidents according to established site procedures and escalation protocols.
- Monitor CCTV systems, alarm panels, and security equipment while maintaining situational awareness and reporting issues promptly to supervisors and site management.
- Verify employee credentials, temporary worker identification, visitor authorizations, and contractor documentation before granting facility access.
- Process inbound and outbound truck traffic by inspecting documentation, verifying seals, recording load information, photographing required items, and maintaining accurate transportation records.
- Conduct exit inspections of employees, visitors, and vehicles as required to help prevent theft, product loss, and unauthorized removal of company property.
- Complete detailed and accurate reports in Lighthouse and other reporting systems, documenting incidents, inspections, alarms, patrols, visitor activity, and security-related events.
- Provide professional customer service while exercising sound judgment, maintaining confidentiality, protecting sensitive information, and communicating effectively with employees, visitors, law enforcement, and management.
A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Security Officer will read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.
