About this role
The Technical Manager – Performance Products leads the developers and engineers who turn product roadmaps into technical solutions and sustain the existing product portfolio. The role oversees technical planning, architecture, development, release readiness, and complex issue resolution while building team capability and ensuring products remain reliable, secure, and supportable.

Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline; equivalent relevant education and experience may be considered.
- 5–8+ years of progressive experience in software, controls, automation, digital products, systems engineering, product development, or sustaining engineering in an industrial or technology environment.
- 2+ years of experience leading technical employees, project teams, or cross-functional engineering delivery with accountability for priorities and results.
- Demonstrated experience translating product requirements into technical plans and managing concurrent new-product and sustaining work.
- Working knowledge of the software development lifecycle, architecture and design review, DevOps or ticket-based work management, testing, release readiness, and production support.
Preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead issue triage, root-cause investigation, corrective action, technical documentation, and stakeholder communication.
- Experience with drilling performance, industrial automation, controls, remote operations, data products, or other operational technology environments.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary developers or engineers supporting both software and hardware-integrated products.
- Experience with Agile delivery, CI/CD concepts, source control, automated testing, cybersecurity requirements, and configuration or change management.
- Experience establishing engineering standards, backlog and release routines, lifecycle metrics, technical debt plans, or product reliability improvements.
- Relevant project management, Agile, quality, reliability, or engineering leadership training or certification.
