Clearance : Preferred, not required – Secret/Top Secret
Position Summary
This role will support structured cabling activities. Nationwide travel may be required. Military experience is valued for this role; veterans are encouraged to apply.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform manual labor associated with structured cabling and low-voltage system installations.
Pull, route, support, and organize cabling through designated pathways.
Install devices and related system components in accordance with project requirements.
Assist with system commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and programming as assigned.
Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and aerial lifts safely and in accordance with applicable procedures.
Follow company safety policies, customer site requirements, and supervisor instructions.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and protect customer facilities and equipment.
Travel to assigned job sites as required and perform other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of ANSI/TIA standards
Experience with Cat6, Cat6A, and fiber installations
Understanding of cable pathways and labelling
Ability to read blueprints and floor plans
Experience terminating and testing cabling systems
Preferred Qualifications
BICSI Installer
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
Manufacturer certifications
Fiber Optic Association (FOA)
Work Environment
Work may be performed indoors and outdoors, including in varying weather conditions. The role may involve active construction sites, commercial facilities, elevated work areas, and the use of ladders and aerial lifts. Travel to assigned project locations is required.
Physical Demands
The position requires the ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds; work on ladders and aerial lifts; stand for extended periods; and perform manual labor, including bending, reaching, walking, and working in varied positions. Employees may be required to work indoors or outdoors in various weather conditions.
