Position Details

Position Title: Distribution Center Team Member

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

Hours: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Pay: Starting at $20.50 per hour, based on experience

Position Overview

As a Distribution Center Team Member, you'll play an important role in keeping Romantix running smoothly. Our distribution center supports our retail stores and online customers, ensuring products are received, organized, packed, and shipped accurately and efficiently.

You'll be part of a hardworking team in an organized, fast-paced environment where teamwork, safety, and attention to detail are valued.

We provide training across different warehouse functions, giving you the opportunity to learn and contribute in multiple areas of our operation.

What You'll Be Doing

- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare merchandise for shipment to our retail stores and online customers.
- Shipping & Receiving: Receive incoming merchandise, verify shipments, and prepare outgoing orders.
- Inventory Management: Stock shelves, organize merchandise, assist with inventory counts, and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Quality & Accuracy: Follow company procedures to make sure orders are packed correctly and processed on time.
- Warehouse Organization: Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas, including cardboard baling, merchandise put-away, and general housekeeping.
- Team Support: Work collaboratively with coworkers and supervisors to accomplish daily goals.
- Safety First: Follow company safety procedures, use appropriate protective equipment, and practice safe material-handling techniques.
- Learn & Grow: Become familiar with warehouse technology, operating procedures, and our 5S workplace organization standards.
- Stay Flexible: Assist in different areas of the distribution center as needed and complete other assigned duties.

What We're Looking For

You don't need years of warehouse experience to be successful here. We're looking for people with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications:

- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Previous warehouse, distribution, shipping, or fulfillment experience preferred, but not required.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining good attendance.
- Able to work independently and contribute to a team environment.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active setting.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Willingness to learn new technology, processes, and job responsibilities.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English and communicate effectively to perform job duties safely.
- Adaptable to changing priorities and business needs.
- Professional, courteous, and respectful when working with teammates, supervisors, vendors, and others.

Physical Requirements

This is an active position that requires regular movement throughout the workday.

- Lifting & Carrying: Ability to lift and carry merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques.
- Standing & Walking: Regular standing and walking while picking, packing, stocking, and shipping merchandise.
- Bending & Reaching: Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching to access merchandise at various shelf levels.
- Pushing & Pulling: Moving carts, boxes, and merchandise throughout the distribution center.
- Ladder Use: Safely using step ladders to access merchandise stored at higher levels.
- Vision, Hearing & Communication: Ability to read labels, inventory information, instructions, and safety materials; remain aware of moving equipment; and communicate effectively in the warehouse environment.
