Job Description:

The Procurement Coordinator supports the day-to-day purchasing and vendor management functions across our construction projects. This is a highly tactical, execution-focused role responsible for keeping materials, equipment, and subcontracted services moving smoothly and arriving on time to support project schedules. The coordinator works closely with suppliers, vendors, and project teams to champion ideas and drive the smooth, on-time operation of procurement activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

- Plan and execute initiatives to support vendor and supplier processes on a daily basis, with the goal of 100% on-time delivery of construction materials and equipment to job sites.

- Send monthly follow-up lists to vendors and suppliers to request status updates and review outstanding deliveries.

- Expedite shortage items, past-due materials and equipment, and urgent parts requests to help avoid project delays.
- Perform data analysis and reporting on vendor performance, material pricing, and delivery timelines using Microsoft Excel.

- Manage the purchase order (PO) process and vendor acknowledgments for construction materials, equipment, and subcontracted services.

- Coordinate with project managers and site superintendents to confirm material and equipment needs align with project schedules.

- Support procurement operations across active construction project sites and coordinate with the broader purchasing team as needed.

- Maintain accurate procurement records and vendor documentation.

- Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

- One to two years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or construction purchasing

- Ability to work onsite in Seattle.

- Comfortable working within Excel workbooks; familiarity with construction materials and equipment a plus.

- Self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.

- Ability to solve problems and recommend solutions.

- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.

- Familiarity with construction terminology, materials, and project schedules preferred.

- Frequently lift and/or move up to 30 lbs , with occasional heavier lifting as needed.  If a task requires lifting beyond the recommended weight limit, employees will receive appropriate assistance, equipment, or team lifting support in compliance with Cal/OSHA safety regulations.

This position may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, chemicals, electrical hazards, and other workplace risks. The company provides all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with OSHA regulations. Noise levels are generally moderate but may require hearing protection in certain situations.

Salary Range:

$28-$30/hr
