## Job Description
Motorola Solutions is seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of cutting-edge software solutions that power critical communications and public safety for our global customers.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality software applications and systems across various platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product management, QA, other engineering teams) to define, design, and ship new features.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, architectural design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and performance issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of software development processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
- Document software designs, specifications, and technical requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in software development.
- Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Experience with software development on Linux or Windows operating systems.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) is a plus.
- Knowledge of networking protocols, distributed systems, or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
Target Base Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 USD
Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.

Basic Requirements
Bachelor's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
3+ years of professional experience in software development with strong experience in Java or Python, Google Cloud / AWS.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
