Job Summary
We are looking for a Demand Planning Manager to own forecasting for feeders and accessories, as well as demand planning across Moultrie’s cameras, feeders, and accessories for select retail accounts and our direct-to-consumer (DTC) business. This role will manage forecasts at the customer and product level for Tier 1 feeder accounts, oversee product-level forecasts for Tier 2 accounts and DTC, and review and approve baseline forecasts for Grassroots and Tier 3 accounts. The role will also own accessory forecasting by connecting accessory demand to camera sales and adjusting forecasts when actual sales data suggests a change is needed.
In addition, this person will lead forecasting for new product launches and product transitions, working closely with Product Management and Operations to plan demand from the initial business case through launch and eventual end of life.
Job Responsibilities
• Own the 12-month rolling demand forecast — tier 1 feeders at customer × SKU; tier 2 total Moultrie at SKU-total; DTC total Moultrie; accessories via the attach-rate model — and own the consensus number loaded to Netstock.
• Own the accessories attach-rate model: consume the published camera plan, apply attach rates, and challenge the upstream plan when accessory POS tells a different story.
• Own the planning relationship for assigned tier 1 accounts; collaborate with retail merchant teams to align on forecasts and inventory positions.
• Own the promotional and event demand calendar for assigned categories: pre-event lift assumptions, in-event reads, and post-event reconciliation.
• Set the segmentation thresholds and the review cadence by segment so planner effort follows value; revisit the classification each planning cycle.
• Turn category analytics into commercial recommendations; in collaboration with the sales team, may recommend assortments and retail pricing for owned categories.
• Partner with operations on buy plans against long overseas lead times; flag demand risks early enough to avoid air freight.
• Own the cross-category NPI and transition forecasting process: business-case forecasts with product management, launch curves, early POS reads, and EOL run-out plans that minimize excess & obsolete inventory.
• Hold forecast bias within the agreed band and drive corrective action on misses; present drivers at the monthly forecast accuracy review.
• Approve Grassroots and Tier 3 baselines for owned categories; mentor the Senior Analyst on category context (documented in development plans).
• Refine demand planning processes and drive Netstock adoption for owned categories.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in sales analysis, marketing, or general business analytics.
• Proven understanding of forecast methodologies.
• Proficient in Microsoft products
• Knowledge of best practices in data visualization.
