Exciting Opportunity at MSK : The Cell-Free DNA (cfDNA) Informatics Team within MSK's Center for Molecular Oncology is seeking a Senior Computational Biologist to develop and apply computational methods for liquid biopsy, clonal hematopoiesis, and translational cancer genomics research. This role will support analyses using MSK-ACCESS, CMO-CH, and related sequencing platforms while collaborating closely with clinical, laboratory, and computational teams.

Role Overview :

- Analyze and interpret next-generation sequencing data from MSK-ACCESS, CMO-CH, and related assays
- Lead computational analyses of ctDNA, clonal hematopoiesis, treatment response, and clinical outcomes data
- Develop, automate, and maintain scalable, reproducible genomic analysis workflows
- Build statistical and predictive models integrating genomic and clinical datasets
- Collaborate with investigators across computational, laboratory, and clinical research teams
- Contribute to manuscripts, grants, presentations, and translational research initiatives

Key Qualifications :

- Master's degree with relevant experience or PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or R
- Experience analyzing NGS or large-scale genomic datasets
- Experience with workflow management systems such as Nextflow, Snakemake, CWL, or WDL
- Experience working in Linux, HPC, and/or cloud environments
Proficiency with Git/GitHub and container technologies such as
- Docker or Apptainer/Singularity
- Strong statistical analysis and scientific communication skills

Core Skills:

- Independent problem-solving and scientific rigor
- Experience developing scalable and reproducible computational solutions
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to manage multiple research projects in a fast-paced environment
- Interest in leveraging emerging technologies, including AI-assisted tools, to enhance research productivity

- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9-5 Hybrid
- Location: 323 E. 61 Street, NYC
- Reporting to: Senior Manager

Pay Range: $114,000.00 - $182,400.00
FSLA Status: Exempt
