Position Summary

The Service Supervisor is responsible for supporting front-end operations, leading customer service associates, and helping ensure an exceptional shopping experience for customers. This position assists with daily service execution, cashier oversight, operational compliance, cash-handling procedures, and associate development. The Service Supervisor works closely with store leadership to maintain efficient operations, high customer satisfaction, and adherence to company standards.
Key Responsibilities Front-End Leadership

- Supervise daily front-end operations and customer service activities.

- Provide direction and support to cashiers, courtesy clerks, and service associates.

- Monitor checkout efficiency and customer wait times.

- Ensure adequate staffing and front-end coverage throughout the day.

- Assist in coordinating breaks, lunches, and workflow assignments.

Customer Service

- Deliver exceptional customer service and promote a customer-first culture.

- Address customer concerns, complaints, and service issues in a timely and professional manner.

- Assist customers with returns, exchanges, refunds, and special requests.

- Promote loyalty programs, store initiatives, and customer engagement opportunities.

- Foster a welcoming and positive shopping environment.

Associate Development

- Assist with training, coaching, and onboarding front-end associates.

- Reinforce customer service standards and operational expectations.

- Provide performance feedback and recognize associate achievements.

- Promote teamwork, accountability, and professional growth.

- Support store leadership in maintaining associate engagement.

Cash Handling and Compliance

- Assist with cash office responsibilities, register accountability, and till audits.

- Ensure proper cash-handling procedures are followed.

- Monitor compliance with company policies and operational standards.

- Support front-end audits and documentation requirements.

- Assist in reducing operational errors and shortages.

Safety and Loss Prevention

- Promote a safe environment for customers and associates.

- Support loss prevention efforts through awareness and operational compliance.

- Ensure associates follow safety procedures and company guidelines.

- Report and address safety hazards, incidents, and operational concerns.

- Assist with emergency response procedures when necessary.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

- Previous retail, customer service, cashier, or supervisory experience preferred.

- Strong leadership and customer service skills.

- Basic math, cash-handling, and computer proficiency.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.

- Ability to operate registers, computers, and other store equipment.
