The Role

As the Manager, FX & Commodities Middle Office, you will play a key role in supporting FX and Commodities businesses across Global Banking & Markets. You will lead and support day-to-day Middle Office activities across the trade lifecycle, with a focus on trade support, operational controls, reconciliations and client service.

You will also work closely with the Middle Office Management team and key partners across the business to identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls and enhance operational efficiency.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

- Lead and support daily Middle Office activities across the FX and Commodities trade lifecycle, including trade support, trade administration, reconciliations, position management and client service.

- Independently identify, investigate and resolve complex operational and trade-related issues, often within tight timelines.

- Lead, coach and develop a team, fostering an inclusive, collaborative and high-performance environment.

- Partner with Front Office and other stakeholders to address business needs, resolve issues and support effective trade lifecycle management.

- Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls and operational efficiency across the Middle Office.

- Support the development and implementation of process improvements, including defining business requirements, testing solutions and monitoring implementation.

- Maintain strong operational controls and ensure activities are conducted in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements, internal policies and risk management standards.

- Build strong relationships across the organization and effectively influence stakeholders at various levels.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:

- Prior experience in capital markets, banking, financial services or a related environment.

- Strong knowledge of FX and/or Commodities products, including the trade lifecycle, operational controls and capital markets processes.

- Experience supporting FX and/or Commodities within a Middle Office, Trade Support or related capital markets operations environment.

- Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to coach, develop and support a team.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience identifying and implementing process improvements.

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with Front Office and cross-functional partners.

- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong Excel skills and a solid understanding of operational processes.

Nice to have:

- Hands-on experience with Wall Street FX.

- Experience with Murex.

- Knowledge of SQL, VBA or Access.

- Experience with process mapping, business analysis or solution implementation.
