The Role and Impact

We are seeking a Senior Engineering Lab Manager to lead the strategy, operations, and development of an engineering lab supporting complex hardware and platform engineering activities.

In this highly visible leadership role, you will lead a technical team, optimize lab capabilities and resources, and partner across engineering organizations to enable efficient development, testing, validation, and execution. You will establish operational priorities, promote a strong safety culture, and drive continuous improvements in lab processes, infrastructure, equipment, and engineering workflows.

Your leadership will help ensure the lab is positioned to meet current engineering needs while anticipating future technology, capacity, and infrastructure requirements.

About the Team

You will join an engineering organization focused on enabling the development, integration, and validation of advanced hardware and platform technologies. Our engineering labs provide the infrastructure, equipment, and technical environments that teams rely on to develop, test, debug, and validate complex systems.

As the leader of this lab organization, you will help shape the capabilities and operating environment that enable engineers to move quickly from development through validation while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, reliability, and execution.

What You’ll Do

Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

- Manage and oversee day-to-day operations of the lab, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and workflows are optimized.
- Lead a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment that aligns with project goals and timelines.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and lab protocols, maintaining a secure and efficient workplace.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support project development, testing, and execution.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance lab processes and performance.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to team members, promoting skill development and professional growth.
- Monitor project progress, addressing challenges, and ensuring deliverables meet quality and schedule expectations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align lab activities with organizational objectives and strategic goals.

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience :

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of Electrical/Computing Engineering, Information Technology or related field and a 9 years of professional experience. Or a Master's degree in the same field  with 6 years of experience OR a PhD in the same field with 4 years of experience.

Your experience described above must be in the following:

- Experience managing engineering labs or similar environments, including resource allocation and team leadership.
- Experience with lab tools, equipment, and processes relevant to engineering workflows.

- Manage projects, monitor progress, and ensure the delivery of high-quality results.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience :

- Experience in engineering systems, testing methodologies, or related domains.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $188,330.00-265,870.00 USD

The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
