This role will require extended hours based on production needs, including work to be performed after regular business hours and on weekends.
QUALITY ASSIST I (MV1 QA Assist 1st shift) rec# 35250
Primary Function:
Ensure the quality Snack Food products through testing and analysis of product and packaging.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Gather samples to perform weight, moisture, salometer and ph checks on product
- Complete all quality control paperwork and forward to appropriate recipients
- Check packaging for integrity of seals, dates, vacuum, and proper caddie and case counts
- Communicate with PMO and supervisor on quality issues
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Follow GMP/HAACP procedures
- Pre-operational sanitation inspections daily
- Perform micro swab procedures.
- Assist with other tasks as assigned

- Hand/eye coordination
- Walk/stand 100% of shift

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of common QC techniques and procedures
- Intermediate level math and writing skills
- Intermediate level communication skills
- Ability to test and read scales
- Ability to neatly and accurately complete paperwork
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Strong organizational skills
- Flexible work schedule between Production and Quality
- Ability to use various software programs, computers and ipads
- Ability to obtain HACCP certification
- Ability to care for lab equipment.
