Job Summary

Link4 helps businesses exchange and process
financial and business documents through eInvoicing and AP automation. The
Pre-Sales Engineer provides technical expertise during discovery, solution
design, and sales stages. The role is focused on connecting customer
requirements with deliverable Link4 solutions. A strong background in software
development, systems integration, or technical software delivery is essential.
The role supports growth in the Philippines and other markets through accurate
technical advice and effective implementation handovers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery with customers and
partners: identify ERP versions, AP/AR workflows, document the customer
requirements, integration interfaces, security requirements, regulatory needs
and implementation constraints.

• Document the proposed integration method
using supported Link4 APIs, SFTP and/or file-based interfaces. Define data
flows, field mappings, attachments, business rules & validations, error
handling and reconciliation requirements.

• Interpret API documentation and sample JSON,
XML and CSV payloads; investigate routine technical questions and validate
assumptions using approved test environments and tools during sales stages.

• Assess integration options for Oracle
NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365 (including Business Central), SAP and Oracle
ERP / Fusion Cloud ERP. Identify required ERP configurations, customer access
and implementation-partner dependencies.

• Conduct technical demonstrations and solution
presentations tailored to customer needs. Explain integration options,
limitations and responsibilities clearly to business and IT stakeholders.

• Prepare technical RFP, RFQ and tender
responses, architecture diagrams and questionnaires. Verify statements against
current product capabilities and supporting evidence before submission.

• Distinguish supported functionality,
configuration and new development. Identify gaps, assumptions, risks and effort
dependencies early, obtaining Product, Engineering or Project Delivery
validation before commitments are made.

• Coordinate technical reviews within agreed
sales and tender deadlines; track unresolved questions, accountable owners and
decision dates, and escalate blockers early.

• Prepare a structured handover to Project
Delivery covering agreed scope, systems, interfaces, mappings, testing and
acceptance criteria, responsibilities, dependencies, risks and outstanding
decisions.

• Develop knowledge of Link4 eInvoicing, Peppol
and digital trade solutions and market-specific requirements. Maintain reusable
technical knowledge and undertake related duties reasonably required for the
role.

Key Performance Indicators

• Technical response timeliness: complete
responses and reviews by agreed deadlines; escalate blocked items before those
deadlines.

• Technical accuracy: track corrections and
delivery rework caused by inaccurate or unvalidated pre-sales statements.

• Handover quality: obtain Project Delivery
acceptance of required technical scope, dependencies and unresolved decisions
before implementation starts.

• Risk identification and resolution: document
material integration risks and capability gaps before proposals are committed.

• Technical contribution to sales: review
outcomes of supported opportunities and demonstrations, alongside feedback from
Sales, customers and Project Delivery. Targets are agreed with the manager.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science,
Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems or a related
field, or equivalent demonstrable practical experience.

• Ideally three or more years in software
development, systems integration, implementation, technical consulting,
solutions engineering or enterprise software delivery.

• Technical project management experience is
suitable where it includes practical responsibility for integration
requirements, design reviews, testing and troubleshooting.

• Essential: experience implementing,
integrating or supporting at least one ERP or significant enterprise business
application; proven ability to interpret interfaces and investigate technical
issues.

• Highly desirable: experience with Oracle
NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365 / Business Central, SAP or Oracle ERP / Fusion
Cloud ERP. Expertise in all four platforms is not required.

• Highly desirable: eInvoicing, Peppol, EDI,
AP/AR automation, procurement systems, financial modules, SaaS integrations or
enterprise/government tenders. Candidates with strong technical capability can
learn the eInvoicing domain.

Skills & Competencies

• Practical integration knowledge: REST APIs,
endpoints and payloads, webhooks, SFTP, JSON, XML and CSV, field mapping and
transformation, authentication, credentials and secure data exchange.

• Ability to read API specifications, interpret
sample payloads, use API testing tools such as Postman or equivalent, and
reason about validation, retries, duplicate prevention, error handling and
troubleshooting.

• Understanding of cloud/SaaS applications, ERP
document flows, software testing and technical requirements documentation;
ability to produce clear integration diagrams and handover materials.

• Strong analytical judgment, attention to
detail and initiative: investigate independently, identify missing information,
and recognise when specialist technical approval is needed.

• Clear written and spoken English, confident
customer communication and the ability to explain technical concepts to
technical and non-technical audiences.

• Commercial awareness, collaborative working
and disciplined management of deadlines, assumptions and decisions. Ability to
use AI-assisted tools responsibly, validate outputs and protect customer
information.

Working Relationships

Internal: Sales, Client Relations, Product,
Engineering, Project Delivery, Customer Success and Support. Work with the CTO
or nominated technical authority (Delivery or Engineering) on capability
validation and solution approvals.

External: Prospective and existing customers,
customer IT and finance teams, ERP vendors, implementation partners, and other
technology partners.

Work Environment & Other Requirements

• Philippines-based role supporting customers
and colleagues across multiple markets; work arrangements and any travel are
agreed with the manager.

• Participate in customer meetings,
demonstrations and technical reviews across relevant time zones, with working
hours and workload planned in advance.
