Surveyor Required for Assam Rowta Project

Job Requirements

To carry out transmission line route surveys, tower spotting, ground profiling, tower location marking, and related survey activities to ensure accurate execution of transmission line projects in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and client requirements.

2. Key Responsibilities

1. Route Survey and Reconnaissance

- Conduct route alignment surveys and verify the approved transmission line corridor.
- Identify obstacles, existing utilities, road and railway crossings, river crossings, forest areas, and other constraints along the route.
- Collect field data for route finalization and construction planning.

2. Tower Spotting and Profiling

- Carry out tower spotting surveys as per approved tower schedules and design criteria.
- Prepare and verify longitudinal profiles, ground profiles, and tower spotting data.
- Verify tower locations, span lengths, crossing spans, and ground clearances.
- Coordinate with the design team for site constraints and proposed tower location changes.

3. Survey Equipment Handling

- Operate DGPS/GNSS receivers, Total Station, Auto Level, and other surveying instruments.
- Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and safe handling of survey equipment.
- Establish survey control points, benchmarks, and reference coordinates.

4. Tower Location Marking

- Mark approved tower centre points and reference points at site.
- Establish and verify tower leg reference points and foundation layout coordinates.
- Provide accurate survey data to civil and foundation execution teams.
- Verify tower locations before excavation and foundation activities.

5. Data Processing and Documentation

- Prepare survey reports, tower coordinates, chainage details, field books, and daily progress reports.
- Prepare and maintain survey data in Excel, AutoCAD, KMZ/KML, and other relevant formats.
- Support preparation and verification of PLS-CADD profile data and survey deliverables, where applicable.
- Maintain records of benchmarks, control points, and as-surveyed tower locations.

6. Coordination and Site Execution

- Coordinate with the Project Manager, Survey In-charge, design team, civil team, and client/PMC representatives.
- Conduct joint surveys and site verification as required.
- Report discrepancies between approved drawings and actual site conditions.
- Support foundation, erection, and stringing teams with required survey inputs.
