About this role

💬 Accurx is solving healthcare productivity for the NHS.

For decades, the NHS has struggled with fragmented systems that make simple tasks feel impossible. At Accurx, we’re changing that by building a single, system-wide platform that helps every patient get gold-standard, efficient, and joined-up care.

What started as a way for GPs to text a patient has now evolved into an all-in-one digital toolkit used by 98% of GP practices.

Our platform now powers Total Triage to manage patient demand, and Self-Book , which lets patients schedule their own appointments in seconds. We’ve automated routine care with Patient Questionnaires for long-term conditions, while Accumail finally allows staff-to-staff communication to happen instantly across different care settings. We’re now pushing the boundaries of the consultation itself with Accurx Scribe , our AI-powered note-taker that drafts medical notes in real-time.

We’re not just shipping features. We’re giving clinicians their time back and ensuring every patient journey is as smooth as it should be.

That sounds cool - what does the Senior Communications & PR Lead have to do with it?

The NHS is at an inflection point, and the story of how technology is transforming it needs to be told well. That’s where you come in.

We’re looking for a Senior Communications & PR Lead to join our marketing team on a 12-month fixed term contract, starting December 2026 . You’ll shape how the NHS, policymakers and the wider health tech sector see Accurx, through PR, thought leadership, our podcast and our LinkedIn presence.

This is a hands-on, high-ownership role. You’ll work directly with our CEO and Head of Marketing, manage our PR agency, and have real influence over how one of the UK’s most mission-driven health tech companies tells its story.

The challenges you’ll solve as a Senior Communications & PR Lead

- Lead day-to-day PR: Work closely with our PR agency to draft press materials, secure media coverage and prepare spokespeople. You’ll manage crisis comms and make sure Accurx is consistently positioned as a thought leader, measuring what’s working and iterating your strategy along the way.
- Own the Accurx Unprescribed podcast: Take full ownership of production, from sourcing and booking guests to briefing video content, writing website and social copy, and launching episodes. You’ll work with our CEO (the host) and our freelance producer to make sure each episode lands with the right audiences.
- Run a thought leadership and brand content programme: Spot opportunities for high-quality thought leadership (LinkedIn newsletters, opinion pieces, reports, speaking content) and bring them to life with senior leaders across the business. You’ll also own our brand content and narrative.
- Own Accurx’s LinkedIn channel: Create and optimise content that gets NHS decision-makers, policymakers and the health tech community engaging with us. You’ll help internal teams amplify content and use data to sharpen your approach.

You should apply if...

- You have solid PR and communications experience, ideally in B2B, SaaS, tech or a regulated industry
- You’ve worked in a PR agency or managed one in-house
- You have a strong track record of planning and running campaigns with measurable impact
- You’re a confident, adaptable writer who can make complex topics clear and compelling
- You know how to find a story, pitch it well and land coverage
- You’re experienced at managing senior stakeholders and working cross-functionally at pace
- You’re creative and tenacious: you chase things down and find ways to make things happen
- You’re comfortable with AI tools and use them with good judgement to work faster and smarter
- Bonus: you’ve helped shape a rebrand or category positioning story
