About this role

Group Transformation – AI Fellow

Location: London, minimum four days per week onsite across Herne Hill and Carter Lane, with travel to other Group offices as required
Contract: 18-month fixed-term Group Transformation Fellowship

At Mark Allen, we create specialist content, events, data and insight for professional communities across sectors that matter.

As AI Fellow , you will be a full member of our four-person AI Implementation Pod, a multidisciplinary, agile team at the centre of Mark Allen Group, supporting our wider Group transformation programme.

This is a high-potential graduate and very early-career opportunity, designed to give you 18 months of intensive, hands-on experience in AI implementation, strategy, organisational transformation, product and innovation, data and senior decision-making. You will contribute to live transformation activity from the outset, working with colleagues across the business and external specialist partners.

Reporting to the AI Programme & Adoption Manager, you will work alongside the AI Strategic Implementation Lead and AI Technical Implementation Lead, gaining exposure to how business opportunities are identified, developed and implemented. The Pod works closely with managing directors, functional leaders and our Development and Data teams to deliver practical change across the Group.

You do not need to arrive as an AI expert, and we are less interested in a particular degree subject than in your potential to learn quickly, think critically and make a meaningful contribution.

This is not a role where you will simply observe from the sidelines. You will contribute to real transformation work, develop your research, analytical and communication skills, and take progressively greater ownership of substantive projects as your capability develops.

What you’ll be doing

Research emerging AI and transformation opportunities

- Track relevant developments in AI models, tools, agents and business applications.
- Research how organisations are using AI, automation and new ways of working to improve processes, products and business performance, particularly across media and publishing.
- Turn your research into concise, useful summaries for the AI Implementation Pod and wider business.
- Identify high-quality external learning, research, tools and case studies.
- Help the team stay informed about important regulatory and market developments.

Support the delivery of Group transformation

- Support discipline-level discovery and implementation activity across the Group.
- Help map and document workflows and potential use cases.
- Support pilots, tool testing and experimentation.
- Assist with workshops, working sessions and wider programme activity.
- Maintain clear documentation of actions, decisions and lessons.
- Take ownership of defined workstreams as your experience and capability develop.

Turn learning into practical resources

- Work with the AI Programme & Adoption Manager to curate the Group AI curriculum.
- Help research, write and curate engaging internal content that keeps colleagues informed about relevant AI developments, practical applications and lessons from across the Group.
- Help turn external learning into practical Mark Allen guidance and resources.
- Develop case studies, practical guides, examples and internal resources.
- Capture good practice and lessons from across the business so learning is shared rather than lost.
- Support the AI Ambassador community with materials and communications.

Test and experiment

- Test new tools and capabilities within approved environments.
- Document their strengths, weaknesses, potential use cases and limitations.
- Support structured comparisons between different platforms and approaches.
- Help identify emerging capabilities that could create value for the business.

Contribute to wider transformation

- Support transformation work where AI intersects with data, product, operating model or innovation.
- Undertake research and analysis for the AI Implementation Pod and Group COO.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across teams and functions.
- Build increasing independence and ownership throughout the Fellowship.

What you will be here to achieve

Over the 18-month Fellowship, you will have the opportunity to:

- Become a highly capable and trusted member of the AI Implementation Pod, contributing to the wider Group transformation programme.
- Develop a strong practical understanding of how AI, automation and new ways of working can support organisational transformation and deliver commercial value.
- Produce consistently high-quality research and programme outputs.

- Help keep Mark Allen connected to rapidly changing AI practice.
- Support effective discipline-level implementation.
- Help ensure the organisation captures and shares learning.
- Progressively take ownership of increasingly substantive pieces of transformation work.

By the end of the Fellowship, you will have developed from a high-potential graduate or early-career candidate into someone capable of independently owning meaningful transformation activity.
