Technical Expert / Functional Expert – Network
Clearance Requirement: Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, install, configure, troubleshoot, and optimize enterprise data center networks and high-performance computing (HPC) storage fabrics.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, install, configure, troubleshoot, and optimize network routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and security devices.
- Support enterprise and data center network architecture, security boundaries, and IPsec VPNs.
- Support Cisco, Juniper, and Arista networking technologies.
- Configure and troubleshoot HPC storage fabrics, including InfiniBand, Fibre Channel SANs, and TCP/IP storage networks.
- Administer and troubleshoot Lustre file systems and DDN ExaScaler appliances.
- Perform packet analysis and performance benchmarking using tools such as IOR, iperf, FIO, and lnet_selftest.
- Develop network architecture diagrams and technical documentation.
- Learn and support emerging HPC technologies, including E1000 systems, ESNs, DAOS, and Weka.
Required Qualifications
- 10 years of relevant experience with a degree, or 15 years without a degree , in network engineering, architecture, monitoring, and security.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph .
- Expert-level experience with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and network security technologies.
- Strong TCP/IP networking, data center architecture, and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with InfiniBand, Fibre Channel SANs, Lustre, and DDN ExaScaler.
- Familiarity with packet capture tools and network performance benchmarking.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
