Accounts Payable Specialist

Watson Refrigeration is looking for an organized, detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support our accounting operations. This is a hands-on role focused on processing invoices, coordinating vendor payments, maintaining accurate records, and resolving discrepancies.
This position must work in our Raleigh office. Remote work is not available.
What You’ll Do
- Review, enter, and process vendor invoices accurately and promptly.
- Match invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation.
- Research and resolve discrepancies involving invoices, purchase orders, and payments.
- Prepare and process vendor payments according to established procedures.
- Communicate with vendors about invoice questions, payment status, and account discrepancies.
- Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on outstanding items.
- Maintain organized accounts payable records and supporting documentation.
- Work with internal teams to obtain approvals and resolve missing or incorrect information.
- Assist with other accounting and administrative tasks as needed.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous accounts payable or related accounting experience.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Clear communication skills and a professional approach to vendor relationships.
- Comfort working with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- BuildOps experience is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to work on-site in our Raleigh office.
