Midnight Hskp Cleaner

The Jefferson Hotel is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Overnight Housekeeping Cleaner to join our Housekeeping team. This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, presentation, and upkeep of public areas and other assigned spaces throughout the hotel during overnight hours. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, works well independently, and contributes to a clean, welcoming environment for guests and associates.

Key Requirements

- Availability: MUST be available to work overnight shifts from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM any day of the week, including weekends and holidays.

- Training: MUST be available for initial daytime training from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM .

- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding cleaning tasks.

- Teamwork: Must be dependable, team-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

- Professionalism: Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to hotel cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities

- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of hotel public areas, including the lobby, guest hallways, and upper-level common areas.

- Perform deep cleaning and routine maintenance of assigned areas throughout the property.

- Dust surfaces and fixtures, clean bathrooms, and spot-clean furnishings as needed.

- Strip guest room beds and assist with other housekeeping tasks as assigned.

- Empty trash receptacles and remove waste from designated areas.

- Restock housekeeping and cleaning supplies, including assisting with stocking on delivery days.

- Monitor assigned areas and address cleaning needs as they arise.

- Follow established cleaning procedures and use equipment and supplies appropriately.

- Communicate maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and other issues to the appropriate supervisor.

- Adapt to changing priorities and assist with additional hotel areas as operational needs require.

Qualifications

- Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or commercial cleaning experience is preferred.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining clean, orderly spaces.

- Ability to manage time effectively and complete assigned tasks consistently.

- Ability to follow instructions, accept direction, and adjust to changing assignments.

- Comfortable working overnight in a quiet environment with limited supervision.
