About the Role
As a Sous Chef - Bakery, you will support the Executive Pastry Chef in leading the bakery operation, ensuring the highest standards of quality, consistency, creativity, and guest satisfaction. You will play a key role in developing exceptional baked products while fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous learning in line with Four Seasons service standards.
What You Will Do
- Assist in overseeing the daily operations of the bakery kitchen.
- Ensure all bakery products are prepared and presented to the highest quality and food safety standards.
- Support menu development and the creation of innovative bakery offerings.
- Supervise, train, and mentor team members to enhance performance and professional growth.
- Monitor inventory levels, food costs, and purchasing requirements to maintain operational efficiency.
- Maintain compliance with hygiene, health, and safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborate closely with culinary and service teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
- Uphold the Four Seasons culture of service excellence and the Golden Rule in every interaction.
What You Bring
- Proven experience in a supervisory bakery or pastry role within a luxury hotel, resort, or high-end bakery operation.
- Strong technical expertise in artisan breads, viennoiserie, pastries, and bakery production techniques.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team-development skills.
- A passion for creativity, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid understanding of food safety, sanitation, and quality control standards.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
