Position: Senior Manager – Supply Chain Management (SCM)

Reporting To: Head – Supply Chain Management

Position Purpose

To lead and manage procurement activities for critical mechanical packages, particularly Rotary Equipment and MEP packages, for CBG, Desalination, Green Molecule, and other EPC projects. The role will be responsible for providing procurement support during project estimation, tendering, execution, supplier development, and contract management while ensuring cost competitiveness, quality, and project schedule adherence.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Strategic Sourcing

- Manage end-to-end procurement of major mechanical packages including: Rotary Equipment (Pumps, Compressors, Blowers, Centrifuges, Agitators, etc.)
- MEP Packages (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing)
- Process and utility equipment for CBG, Green Molecule, and Desalination projects.

- Develop sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, delivery, and risk.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard qualified suppliers and contractors.
- Conduct techno-commercial evaluations and negotiations with vendors.

Tendering & Estimation Support

- Provide procurement inputs during project estimation and bid preparation stages.
- Develop budgetary cost estimates and procurement strategies for tenders.
- Support proposal teams with vendor benchmarking, market intelligence, and pricing analysis.
- Coordinate with engineering, proposal, and project teams for timely bid submissions.

Contract & Vendor Management

- Lead commercial negotiations and finalize contracts, purchase orders, and framework agreements.
- Monitor supplier performance against quality, cost, delivery, and contractual commitments.
- Resolve contractual, commercial, and supply chain issues.
- Develop long-term strategic relationships with key suppliers.

Project Procurement Management

- Prepare procurement plans aligned with project schedules.
- Track procurement progress and expedite critical deliveries.
- Coordinate with engineering, QA/QC, logistics, and project execution teams.
- Ensure timely procurement of critical equipment and services.

Supply Chain Process Improvement

- Drive cost reduction and value engineering initiatives.
- Enhance procurement processes, systems, and compliance practices.
- Implement best practices in supply chain management and procurement governance.
- Maintain procurement KPIs and MIS reporting.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- MBA / PG Diploma in Supply Chain Management preferred.

Experience Requirements

- 15-18 years of experience in Supply Chain Management and Procurement.
- Strong experience in procurement of Rotary Equipment and MEP packages.
- Exposure to EPC/EPCM projects in Oil & Gas, Water & Wastewater, Desalination, Renewable Energy, Biofuels, Green Molecules, or Process Industries.
- Experience in supporting estimation and tendering activities.
- Proven expertise in techno-commercial negotiations and contract management.

Candidate Profile

- Mature procurement professional with strong domain expertise in SCM.
- Experienced in handling complex mechanical procurement packages.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to independently manage multiple projects and lead procurement initiatives.
- Immediate to short-notice joiner preferred.
