About this role

Tesla stands for building a world of amazing abundance. Within a few years, revolutionary strategies and products were developed and successfully launched on a large scale. This is only possible through extraordinary speed, innovation and efficiency. To drive Tesla's incredible success story forward in Europe, the Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg and Technical Engineering Center (BTEC) form the perfect basis for that. The most important pillar for this is our employees. Their passion, motivation and willingness to perform ensure that we achieve our goals. We are looking for you to continue and expand this success story together.

As Waste & Logistics Technician, you will have a crucial role in the day-to-day collection of waste generated during the engineering process at BTEC, as well as inbound and outbound logistics on the shop floor. You will work hands-on: collecting, sorting, transporting, labeling and documenting waste streams, moving materials and operating supplies. Together with the Facility Management team and working closely with the Operations Coordinator for Waste & Logistics, you will keep the site compliant, supplied and audit ready. This role is ideal for someone who is reliable, safety-conscious and comfortable working across engineering areas, labs and logistics yards.

- Collect, sort, transport, and stage waste streams from engineering, labs, and the shop floor in accordance with waste type and legal requirements
- Ensure proper labelling, documentation, and handover of waste — including hazardous waste, ADR-relevant goods, lithium-ion batteries, laboratory chemicals, and WEEE
- Execute inbound and outbound logistics for BTEC operations, including receiving, internal transport, staging, and dispatch of materials and operating supplies
- Operate forklifts and handle containers, compactors, and waste equipment safely, keeping all waste collection points, hazardous storage, and logistics areas clean, compliant, and audit-ready
- Support daily coordination with disposal contractors on collections, container swaps, and handling deviations
- Record quantities, movements, and irregularities, and maintain required logs in site digital ticket systems
- Carry out regular shop-floor rounds to identify overflow, incorrect separation, and safety issues; correct on the spot and escalate where needed

- Completed vocational training as Fachkraft für Kreislauf- und Abfallwirtschaft, Fachkraft für Lagerlogistik, or a comparable operational qualification; equivalent shop-floor experience is equally welcome
- Hands-on experience in industrial waste handling, warehousing, or internal logistics — ideally including hazardous materials
- Knowledge of waste separation, labelling, and documentation; familiarity with waste and dangerous-goods regulations (KrWG, ADR, WEEE) is a plus — training will be provided
- Forklift/industrial truck licence (FFZ) or willingness to obtain it shortly after start
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel) and willingness to use site IT and ticket systems
- Fluent German and good English
- Willingness to work flexible hours when collections or inbound deliveries require it
