Tasks & Responsibilities
- Operate induction brazing machines and perform brazing activities as per production requirements.
- Set and adjust process parameters such as power, frequency, heating time, and temperature to achieve optimal brazing results.
- Select and use suitable brazing filler metals and fluxes based on component and process requirements.
- Position components and induction coils correctly to ensure accurate heating and consistent joint quality.
- Monitor brazing cycles and ensure proper filler metal flow, penetration, and bonding.
- Inspect brazed joints for defects such as cracks, voids, insufficient bonding, and improper fillet formation using appropriate measuring and inspection tools.
- Perform basic machine setup, induction coil changes, routine maintenance, and cooling system checks.
Profile & Requirements
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Welding, or a related technical discipline.
- 2-5 years of experience in brazing operations, preferably in a cutting tool or precision manufacturing industry.
- Good knowledge of induction heating principles and brazing processes.
- Familiarity with brazing filler metals, fluxes, and joint quality requirements.
- Ability to set process parameters and operate induction brazing equipment independently.
- Experience in inspecting brazed joints and using measuring instruments.
- Basic knowledge of machine maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and cooling systems.
