Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Operate tool and cutter grinding machines to manufacture and recondition cutting tools.
- Grind end mills, drills, reamers, form tools, PCD pocket, and special cutting tools as per drawings.
- Set up and adjust grinding machine parameters to achieve required dimensions and surface finish.
- Inspect tools using measuring instruments such as micrometres, verniers, profile projectors, and gauges.
- Maintain tool quality and adhere to specified tolerances.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping activities.
- Follow safety and quality standards.
Profile & Requirements:
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical qualification.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in tool and cutter grinding operations.
- Knowledge of tool geometry and cutting tool applications.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with CNC and conventional tool grinding machines.
- Understanding of grinding wheels and dressing techniques.
- Good problem-solving and quality-conscious attitude.
