The Steward Supervisor plays a vital role in supporting the seamless operation of our culinary and hospitality teams by ensuring all kitchen and restaurant equipment is impeccably cleaned, safely stored, and readily available. Your leadership in organizing stewarding operations, maintaining high cleanliness standards, and guiding team members helps create a safe, efficient, and well‑run environment that supports exceptional guest service. Through strong coordination, attention to detail, and a commitment to operational excellence, you help uphold the quality, safety, and consistency that define the Live! Casino & Hotel dining experience.
Responsibilities
Where You'll Make an Impact:
- Supervision of staff to include interviewing, training, performance management, disciplinary counseling and conducting performance evaluations.
- Responsible for scheduling to assure staffing levels consistent with budget and at the level to enhance the Maryland Live Casino guest gaming experience.
- Responsible for controlling, issuing and inventory of all equipment used in the restaurant, banquet room, room service, and bars.
- Responsible for overseeing the cleaning and storage of all wares used in food and beverage.
- Schedule cleaning of kitchen and banquet storage and organizing inventory.
- Ensure the safety and security of all employees and guest.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills to Help You Succeed:
- Ability to use all kitchen equipment and appliances.
- Ability to following simple instructions.
- Ability to perform assigned job duties under frequent time pressures.
- Knowledge of personal protective equipment and sanitation laws.
- Knowledge of required OSHA regulations and health department standards.
Qualifications
Must-Haves:
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Two (2) years’ experience in a hotel or high volume kitchen area.
- Willingness and ability to be flexible with work schedule. May require extended hours and work week from time to time.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license as determined by the Maryland State Lottery and Gaming Commission for the position.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to walk extended distances during shifts.
- The team member is frequently (80%) required to stand; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, and bend.
- The team member must occasionally (10%) lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Working Conditions:
- 24/7 high energy casino with over 300,000 sq. ft of gaming and entertainment space and approximately 3000 employees.
- Exposed to alcohol, cigarette and cigar smoke, bright lights, and loud noises.
- You will work in an environment where smoking is allowed.
