Product Partnership Manager

Job Description

Location: London, UK (Hybrid: 3 days in office)

Employment type: Permanent, full time

So, who are we?

IG Group is a FTSE 100 fintech operating across five continents, serving over 1.4m customers and handling billions of dollars in transactions – built on scale, trust, and proof. We didn't pivot to innovation; it's how we've always operated. What that means for the people who work here is real: genuinely complex problems to solve, the technology and resources to tackle them properly, and the kind of scope that's rare in established businesses.

The bar is high – bring a curious and forward-thinking mindset and we'll give you the platform to define what comes next.

Join us at IG – the future gets built here.

Your Team:

This role sits within the new Product Operations team, reporting into the Product Operations Lead, and works closely with Procurement, Legal, Finance, and the product squads who actually use these tools and data feeds day to day. You'll be the single owner of "who do we contract with, on what terms, and why" across the product organisation's third-party footprint.

Your role in the Team’s Success:

This is a role for someone who's as comfortable in a commercial negotiation as they are in a product roadmap conversation. As Product Partnership Manager you will own the full lifecycle of contractual relationships with every third party the product organisation relies on — from tooling providers like Figma, to data and content partners like the London Stock Exchange whose feeds power what customers see in our products and execution partners such as Coinbase and IBKR that enable our clients to buy and sell crypto and equities. You'll make sure these partnerships deliver value, stay commercially sound, and don't quietly become a point of risk.

What you’ll do:

Contract and vendor ownership

- Own the full lifecycle — sourcing, negotiation, renewal, and offboarding — of contracts with third parties used by the product organisation, spanning productivity/design tooling (e.g. Figma), execution partners (e.g. Coinbase, IBKR) and market data/content feeds (e.g. London Stock Exchange).

- Maintain a single view of all third-party product contracts: cost, term, usage, renewal dates, and business owner.

- Negotiate commercial terms and SLAs that protect IG's interests while keeping partners genuinely invested in our success.

Partnership performance and value

- Track usage and value realised from each partnership, working with product teams to right-size spend (e.g. licence counts, data entitlements) as needs change.

- Own the relationship with key vendor contacts, running regular reviews of performance, roadmap alignment, and commercial terms.

- Identify opportunities to consolidate, renegotiate, or replace partnerships where they no longer offer the best value or capability.

Risk and compliance

- Ensure third-party contracts meet IG's requirements for data security, resilience, and — where relevant — regulatory obligations around outsourcing and critical third parties.

- Work with Legal and Procurement to ensure contracts are properly reviewed, signed off, and stored, and that renewal/notice deadlines are never missed.

- Flag and manage risks arising from vendor concentration, dependency, or underperformance.

Cross-functional collaboration

- Partner closely with the product squads who use each tool or feed, understanding their needs before going into any negotiation.

- Work with Finance on budgeting and cost forecasting for third-party product spend.

- Support the Product Operations Lead with reporting on third-party risk and spend for senior governance forums.

What You'll Need:

Role requirements

- Experience in vendor management, partnerships, or commercial/procurement roles, ideally within a technology or product organisation.

- Confident, experienced contract negotiator, comfortable managing both low-value tooling contracts and higher-value, higher-risk data/content agreements.

- Strong stakeholder management — able to represent product's interests in a commercial negotiation while keeping internal users onside.

- Commercially literate: comfortable with contract structures, pricing models, and cost-benefit analysis.

- Excellent organisational skills, with the discipline to track a large portfolio of contracts and renewal dates without anything slipping.

Desirable

- Experience negotiating market data or financial content licensing agreements specifically (e.g. exchange data, news feeds).

- Experience in a regulated financial services environment, including awareness of outsourcing/critical third-party requirements.

- Familiarity with design/productivity tooling procurement (e.g. Figma, Miro, Atlassian).

The perks

It really is more than a job. We think like a start-up, but we deliver like a FTSE 100 — so the bar is high, and we won't pretend otherwise. We work hybrid, which means three days in the office. We’ll recognise your talent and make sure that you can still have a life – at work, and outside of it. Networks, committees, awards, sports and social clubs, mentorships, volunteering opportunities, extra time off… the list goes on.
